OPERA Browser

super cool browser.
I used it for a year or so. very fast and very user friendly. no bullshit involved. banner ad for unregistered versions, sure, but the speed and efficiency more than make up for it.
there's a whole Linux kind of atmosphere to it. That whole David v. MSGoliath.
The best thing is that you can download skins and make the browser your own. you can do it with other browsers, I know, but it is hassle-free.
the built in google function is a plus. And you can customise your tool bar down to the basics.
A good product from the fine people in Norway.

Thanks, love, I think I shall download it now and try it out!!

yes do it.

i do not have it installed on my systems (i'm a lazy bugger and just never gotten around to it), but i have played around with it on other machines and really like it.

Give it a go.... even if for no other reason than it isn;t part of the big one and a half (calling nutscrape the half :p)

I did it and it's fast!!!

Can't really customize the look on the free version, apparently, but the speed is quite good!

you CAN customise the free version.

Download button sets. Make your own. It's fun. It's easy.

You are a doll :) Thank you for the link.

Now, if only I could find a free image host site, life would perfect!

Ah well!!

Thanks Coolville:)

Did it help your slow problem Lady G? I'm still having it.

The other highly appealing recent alternative to mainstream commercial browsers is Mozilla, from mozilla.org - consider giving it a try, too.

Actually, yes, much faster browsing using Opera as opposed to IE.

Hmm Mozilla? Thanks LukkyKnight, I shall give that a whirl also!

Mozilla allows for good selectivity - reject all images or cookies from any particular site, for instance. There's nothing quite so pleasing as not having to see ads from certain servers. It's based on the underlying, orginal mozilla engine which powers Netscape, but they've introduced cooler features.

Okay, here's question for you.

Is it possible to host images on your PC and be able to remote link them elsewhere or do you need an image host?
