Open Office revision tracker

The Open Office documentation suggests that the tracker won't work smoothly with MS Office, but there doesn't seem to be too much information on the Web.

Has anyone used the revision tracker in Open Office successfully with MS Word? I don't have a copy of MS Office to test it.
