Just days ahead of a deadline, the Trump administration said it may need more time to reunite some of the immigrant families it separated. A court order gives officials until Tuesday to reunite children under 5 years old with their parents.

But officials might need additional time to track down dozens of parents who are no longer in custody -- including 19 who were already deported, Justice Department attorney Sarah Fabian said in court Friday.

I wonder how many others they have lost track of.

They come in, have their family torn apart, put the kids in "detention", deport the parents... all to have to bring the parents back. If they can be found. While we pay to lock the kids up.

imagine the cost of testing the kids. now imagine that cost + the cost to track down family members and test them too. and in other countries. i assume that's how it will be done.

That's government for you. Imagine, some people think government should be heavily involved in all kinds of shit, like health care. But these are the same guys who handle child protective services and lose children. That happened in Florida not too many years ago.

I doubt Trump gives a fuck about abortion honestly, but he has to keep the Evangelical Christians somehow and we know his philandering ways, multiple marriages, and a gorgeous but minimally English-speaking wife with nude photos on the internet weren't going to get them for him. Thank goodness for Pence - the man who attempted to make it law while he was governor that even miscarriages had to have a "proper burial."
