I don't think it will die. The progress is coming, during this time we've been able to pick up 3 more rpers and we were able to link to upcoming storylines.

I'm going off 4 hours of fractured sleep is all. If you're here for the night I am too.

Oh! I just remembered. There was one recent occurence that popped up. Wizard just touched Rogue's cheek, Deadhand sounds like a premature fascist and I was also waiting for someone (one person intended to do it but they haven't done it in real time yet) to make a "challenge" of sorts.

All those things haven't been addressed. I wasn't waiting to post before those things I just didn't post but there are some things in the thread that may be worth talking about before things start happening.


Also, remember what I said, if you chose to help Fantomex or don't either way your choice will have consequences.

I'm not even a big fan of this guy in the comics who's power dampening lets him touch her.

The only time I ever thought it was good was when Magneto could do it in th AoA. Without that, the tragic element of her character is kinda gone. And it would be easy to have a relationship with her cause she's so hot.

But I'd still be interesting to see how you rp it. Especially interesting that you two have such fondness for each other when your names were both on "the list"....

I'm going to post but my next post will move the sl so she will probably have to acknowlede that in the midst of other things.

Speeding up may not be the best thing for the thread. Granted we haven't had that time where we are all on at the same time just feeding off each other but most of our posts have been character building so far.

We've got two original characters and one who is so obscurely known he might as well be.

He was working for the Gov the whole time he was an organic tracking device. SO he uses a password when the soldiers brake through the door into the danger room so they know to give him a gun and not shoot him so the soldiers are in the room now and Magma is running away lol he is a BIG TRADER

How'd they get through the mansion defenses and Xavier and Jean's telepathy?

If I'm totally wrong about this sitution please correct me but this sudden emergence as a traitor has been a bit too engineered.

The Mansion defenses and the telepaths powers should have detected your plan and prevented it.

And who gave you the passwords to the Danger Room?
Plus, did anyone read the "Dangerous" arc in astonishing?

The X-Men hid students in the Danger Room because it was impenetrable even from a sentinel's blast.

All the X-Men's power combined couldn't break in when they wanted so how does the gov?

It's holes like that leave this new threat coming off as a contradiction to established powers and environments.

If the X-Men were this vulnerable they would have been wiped out years before. We never would have had a chance to do this rp.

Only thing I can think of is in X2 when Strykers military forces invaded the Mansion. Now mind you Logan and possibly Colassus were the only Adults - read over the age of 18- at the house. So invading the Mansion is possible, however in the CBs the mansion had an infinite amount of scanners around it to prevent such an incident.

Anyone happen to know about the other Weapon Plus program creations. Wolverine is X (read 10), Fantomex is 13, and twelve was a creature that could possess other things by touch. I also believe that Sabortooth and Death Stryke (They alluded to it in X2) were also Weapon Plus creations.

I remember that scene (one of my favorite in movies period) but its kinda long the lines of when Juggernaut rampaged through the mansion in the team's earlier incarnation.

Juggy was basically fighting Beast before he began to exhibit ultra intelligence and his main weapon was having big feet, Jean before she got a huge psi powerup, Iceman when his only manifestation of his power was making snowballs, and a wholly inept combantant in Angel.

In X2 you have to wonder why when Charles said "Erik, what have you told them?" he replies "Everything". If he KNEW he was being mindcontrolled why not just tell Charles telepathically?

Also, I'm curious that the gov. could just enter the mansion COMPLETELY undetected. You can't even go into 7-11 without a bell attached to the door going off when you go in.

And breaking into the Danger room is virtually impossible?

I'm not saying the gov. setting shop on the X lawns (its happening with the Sentinels in the comics now and was going to happen in the thread) but I do agree by not mentioning some things toes were bound to get stepped on.

I guess I should just say Chronicle and I were about to rp some gov. agents and further move the sl.

We'd actually been dropping clues as to the reason for the gov.'s upcoming role from the beginning of the thread.

But Magma's revealing herself as a plant capable of totally penetrated all of the Mansion's defenses including the 2 most powerful telepathis in the marvel universe is a "Huh?" moment.

If you're going to inflitrate the X-Men it will take a plan. Knock over Juggernaut and hide your thoughts from Prof X is a bad plan cause it wouldn't work.

It seems Grant Morrison really should take credit for giving the Weapon X concept a great shot in the arm. I think his explanation is nothing short of brilliant (and I am not a Morrison disciple by any means, I'll be the first to say secondary mutation was absolutely elementary writing and a horrible idea)

It seems the only two creations of Weapon Plus that are debated is Weapon XI (I wonder why some people think its Cassandra Nova???) and Weapon XIV (stated to be the 3 in 1 but that was in an alternate future and since Morrison left a lot of his ideas have been retconned)
