Hello. I haven't been around these parts in sometime but I have an idea for something called The Continent of Habrin. It is a large land mass on The Planet...as they call their planet...easy huh? Anyway, basic setup of the land is Descria to the south or the Desert lands, to the North is the Wetlands of Belooge where the story begins, to the east is the are the Mountains of Karn'it a very treacherous land, and to the west are the winter or snowlands of Vristmo. In the middle where the triangles of land meet is the towers of Negaia where the magic users were told to hold the land together to keep peace.

My Character for this story (I will also play minor roles) is:
name: Ni'iya
sex: female
race: human
skin:tan
occupation: agriculture/gardener/closet Negaia*
hair: Dark brown with natural blond and red highlights
eyes: brown

*Negaia is the name of magic users...they have all been banished to an off continent island except for Ni'iya due to the death of the King and Queen of Negaias who were Ni'iya's parents. They were banished to the Island of Depth...an Island few can find since it is mostly underwater.

The banishment of the Negaia was due to the fact the King and Queen were killed by one of their own...the Necromancer Hataeus..Ni'iya's uncle. Jealousy is his reign and power into what he does. Him and his followers live beneath The Continent in the Caverns of Eb...only those invited, killed, or captured can enter and few have ever stumbled across the magical entrance.

Ni'iya begins her journey after her godmother Tela dies of age complications in the capital Gorde in the Desert lands. There was instructions left by Tela to go to the lands of the North to seek the Lion King, King Yaer, in the capital Sea'azu. When she arrives across the border into the northern lands everything changes.

Characters I am looking for is:
King Yaer
Prince Welden...son of Yaer
Necromancer Hataeus
and any other characters that may come along

there can be druids...those who have an animal follower and can shift into that animal
Other mages are welcome...since Ni'iya will be freeing them from banishment at one point or another
Think anything you can with something that has human form

If you like this idea than just write your opinion and I hope to get some response.

If you have no other offers, I'll take the prince... Weldon. I'll come up with a bio in the next couple of days.
I was thinking a naive young man, ready for adventure.... and possibly romance.
Hee hee, this is a great idea, Daisy, can't wait to write it out.

Thanks. I am glad you think so. Makes me feel like I actually might know what I am doing in my writing on this site and in the story I have started to write outside of the internet. I am so excited and you can have the prince.

Sounds like an interesting story. I'd love to play the Necromancer Haeteus. I like the idea of playing the villain. Any objections?

None here...remember other than names I really don't have a fixed picture of what the characters except Ni'iya look like so use your imagination to a beautiful extent...nothing cheesy or corny though please. This is kind of a baby to me.

Great, I've got a profile for you:

NAME: Hataeus, the Necromancer King
SEX: Male
RACE: Human?
SKIN: Pale
HAIR: None
EYES: Solid ink black (no irises or whites)
OCCUPATION: Necromancer/Ruler of the Caverns of Eb

Though in his forties, Hataeus appears to be a wizened old man. His unnatural aging is a result of delving into the Forbidden Arts. He rules the people of Eb with an iron fist. He has a council of other Necromancers which he calls the Brethren who help to administer his rule and hunt down the remaining Negaia. Besides these vile magic users Hataeus keeps a retinue of undead beings as his personal guard. Known as the Bone Dancers, these guardians are the ultimate deterent to any who wish to overthrow Hataeus. Recently, Hataeus has begun to suffer from hallucinations of the King and Queen. He blames the other Negaia for this, believing that they have imposed a curse upon him. Members of the Brethren however, believe they are a result of Hataeus' unrelenting pursuit of dark magic. Many wonder if Hataeus will remain sane and if not what he will do when he finally slips into the abyss.

Sounds like a perfect way to go for the Necromancer. I hope someone will want to play the king and then maybe I can get some of the ic thread going since those will probably be the most important characters to go by first. Soon, we will get going...thanks for you patience. I am getting impatient to get started.

Poohlive when will I get to see the bio for Welden? *jumps up and down excitedly*

Hmmm Am I going to get anyone to bite into the King or will I have to take him on as a character. He probably won't be as involved as the Prince, Ni'iya or Haetues. But he can...he will have freedom.

Weldon is a fighter and an adventurer. He grew up hunting, and training in his father's army, hoping one day to be sent out to do battle.
But, in all the battle's his father fought, he could do nothing. He was the heir to the throne, the son of a king. He rode on a noble horse and rallied the men, but never saw so much as a single blade of an enemy's sword.
He's been kept up, shut in, and taught by some of the best scholars in the world, but he has no heart for it. Weldon would rather sell fish in the market than rule the kingdom. He would like to have one adventure, one fight to call his own.
So, he waits, for what, he does not know, but his heart is restless, and his feet are anxious.

There you are. I would guess around 20 or so. Long light brown hair, muscular build, snow blue eyes, and a warm smile.

Thanks Poohlive. I will be starting the ic thread here in about two to three days whether or not we have more people. I think if we get started that it might get others interest. Have a good day and be safe.

Those are the three characters other than Niya I need but please feel free to make your own with the restrictions that the only race is human. And please do not be someone like I have experienced before that wants to be my horse.

I thik I like the sound of this, maybe I could join too? If so then I don't really want to be the King, but maybe a wizard instead. Excuse me a...Negaia...sort of. If thats okay then here is my characters bio.

Name:Jakar Enex
Sex: male
Profession:Battle Wizard
History:
Jakar has just finished his training in Wizardry. His Master was killed two months ago by the Brethen. He specializes in battle magic, but is practically useless in all other kinds such as healing, divination, etc. He dresses in flowing dark green robes, underwhich he wears pure white, except for three blood red crossed arrows on the chest of his cloak which is the symbol for his order of wizards. His sworn Vendetta against the Brethen and in turn the Necromancer King, will no doubt lead him to go on the long journey to hunt them down and fight to the death. He is still relatively naive as to the art of magic but he is learning quickly. There is no doubt however that his blacksteel mace, and his magic will kill any brethen he can find.

Physical:
Jakar is about 5'9", with long black hair and gray eyes. He isn't as muscular as you would expect of a warrior but he isn't weak either. 24 years old, slight drinking problem may affect his magic skills.

Good I like it. I am just hoping more people will get interested. It seems that those who posted before are no longer interested so we will try to give some time.

I'm still in this, if you'll have me. I guess, I really just don't know what to post. The hardest part is just starting out... and I'm really not sure what to do.

I am going to re post with more direction in a couple of days just give me some time to think things through

I am about halfway through a post for my character to enter, so I'll just post that and if we go another way I will just re-enter.

Thank you for taking initiative. I want help with plot if anyone wants to post it here. If you have any suggestions I want to hear them. So please treat this as a message center and a think tank.

Cizek...one thing...it would help me if I knew why you were staying in the castle and your role there please. Then I will respond to what you wrote.

Just passing through, mostly. Jakar is trying to find the Brethren to exact his revenge but he could use all the help he can get. He also may want to join up with you if your character was going out in search of them. He just wants revenge but if he feels that your character needs help in her quest he would probably help. As for my characters role at the castle he is just a guest for the time being as he is searching their libraries for information regarding his enemies.

I think the way my character will play it is keep the power she feels from you silent and try to find you in the library later when she can speak to you quietly. Then you will find out who she is and she will ask for your help in trying to free the rest of their kind. How does that sound?

Now may be a great time to come into the thread and for now I will play the King as a less important character and try to play up the Prince as the future ruler and the commander of the troops to go against the Necromancer. So I will post then under the Lion King and differentiate my posts by character name above.
