OOC: Superheroes Take 2

I thought that I would start this thread to see if something could be done with a previous one. I know that it was going nowhere, I could see that but I thought that I could make it better - I wanted to make it darker.

I was hoping to take over the part of Elliot (the somewhat leader of the group) and get it going so that it is part way through their training and into their first mission. I was hoping that someone could come in as a villian as well and don't have god like powers where they are impossible to beat but have someone who hates Elliot with a vengance and who has powers.

I will also be playing the same part as I was before, that of Greg but he will be different - you will see how if this gets going that is. I hope that it does and I hope that anyone who joins in will have fun with this and I hope that I will keep it going and make it as fun as I can.

The Super Heroes idea sounds like a cool idea to me, being a huge Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse Comic fan myself I'd love the chance to become a super villain and pit myself against your 2 alter-egos. I'm not exactly sure what the extent of my powers will be-but they will in no way be god-like--and I'll have a rather obscure, yet crippling, weakness...finding out what that is however will be up to you.
Just reply to this when ever you wish, and let me know if you'd like me to join in. By the way as for my Super Villain name...how's Ghostwalker sound?

Melissa may still work. I'll jump in ^.^ My only other thought for restarting was we should really make the characters more willing to do what they've done - I.E. gain powers. The angst was a bit much last time for me.

This is basically the same thread that Ravenloft started but it is going to be more a free for all. As bad as this sounds I don't want all the stuff that was in it the last time, the angst that slowed it down and eventually killed it. I want this one to be better this time, where as people can have fun with this and not have to worry about everything else. I want people to be able to just get out there and have a fight.

Dhampir, I love the idea.... just have fun with it and I cannot wait to see what you come up with.

Tumble, I was going to have it so that everyone in the group has been learning how to control whatever power they have and their powers have kind of evolved.

Well Angelus, I'm glad you like my idea. I'm kinda new to this site and to on-line RPG-ing...I used to play A LOT D&D in High Scholl and college and I love playing RPG's on different gamy systems...but this on-line RPG-ing I'm still new at if you can give me some "do's and "do not's" on it. I'd love to get more into this, I just need a little info on how it all works. I should have said this in my first post and I'm sorry for just bringing it up now, i just hope you guys and girls won't me mad.

For the record, Angelus, I was trying to keep the mood of the thread light and fun, it was the rest of you that took it to such an angsty place.

Go ahead with a continuation thread, but I do have one request for you. When you start, Elliot will be dead, he had cancer you see, and he was just trying to form this team before he died to give something back to the world.

You can still play the team in the building he left them, and there will be holographic Elliots around as well.

Yeah, we did make a little bit angsty didn't we but I hope that as strange as this sounds I can bring back a little bit of the fun into the thread.

You could always just make up a new character to help "guide" the others... but... Hmm...

I'm not sure if Lily is up to being a leader... nah, she's more an outsider... a quiet person who is mostly in the background (even if her writer is not!!)

But I know someone who might want to do it, he is a good writer and I believe he could do the job. If you know him, his username is Soulshadow. But he's on vacation at the moment... so I'm not sure, I'd have to ask him.

I reckon that it is a great idea, tell him that he is more than welcome to jump in as the leader.

I have plans for this thread myself and I know that if I can that it will be a good one, I just hope that it gets going as I can see a lot of things happening - things that I would love to do with it.

If I can then I will make up a background character - it should be fun.

Ok, I think I'll be a villain then.

Cause I felt deprived by my high school experience, whatever powers I get I would have a strong temptation to use them to sexually assault some of my old high school crushes (shit, I'm being honest I would) and I would do all sorts of stuff to steal money.

I'd love to be a villain.

ok, been a bit since I was in a thread, but I think now i'll have the time to devote to some good writing ( plus, I just loooves me some superhero stories!!!!!!!!) Angelus, you mind if I bring in my old Loa Blood character, Monolith??? he's a classic brick with a few twists. History: Lily attended Elliot's highschool, but she dropped out soon afterwards, she never graduated. While there though, she had developed a crush on Elliot, but, not being the academic he so obviously was, she had been terrified to even speak to him.
A day before she left, Elliot bumped into her in the cafetaria, since then strange things have happened to her. She knows that Elliot had something to do with her transformation, but she doesn't know what. She tracked him down some years later and now finds him holding a private reunion...
