CHUN LI
Birthplace: China
Birthdate: March 1st, 1979 (making her a bit younger)
Height: 169cm
Weight: A lady never tells
Blood type: A
Fighting style: Chinese Martial Arts
Special skill: Shooting (ranked 6th in an international contest)

Ryu
Nationality: Japanese
Ht: 5'8"
Wt: 155lbs
Hair:Black
Eyes:Black

Ryu has always walked the way of the warrior. Raised since infancy by his master Gouken in the life-threatening fighting art of Ansatsuken. Trained along side Ken Masters, Ryu became a skilled practitioner of this style and entered the World Warrior Tournament. It was in the finals, after being beaten nearly unconcious by Sagat Ryu was consumed by the Satsui no Hadou, and driven by this need to win, he scarred Sagat's chest and nearly killed him with a Metsu Shoryuken.

Since that day he has strived to purge himself of the Satsui no Hadou. To Ryu, the most important thing in life is the fight. Win or lose, the outcome is unimportant only the moment of the fight matters. However, the Satsui no Hadou engulfs a fighter, and pushes them to win at all costs even if it means killing an opponent.

Ryu is a calm and reserved young man. He is deeply loyal to his friends and allies and although he prefers to keep to himself he has shown a strong compassion for those in need on many occasions.

Character: Colonel William S. Guile
Birthdate: July 4th, 1974
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 225lbs
Blood Type: O-
Fighting Style: Military Hand-to-Hand
Special Skill: Navy SEALS Combat training, including hand-to-hand and assorted weaponry.

Born to be a Military man Colonel Willian S. Guile joined the Navy at age eighteenm the second he got out of high school. Just like his father he enrolled to be a Navy SEAL and made it to the top of his class. He served two tours, one in the Gulf War, the other in Iraq. After his time in the Navy was up he took and offered position in a Special OPS division of the Air Force under the rank of Colonel. There he was set to find the most brutal tyrant in history Bison. The man rumored to be behind the Fabled Street Fighter tournements.

So hearing that another one was going to be held in Madrid, a place where Bision's empire reaches he was set undercover and underway to Madrid via Cruise ship where he was hidden as a tourist. Guile had met Bison before during previous Street Fighting tournements and told his superiors that his cover wouldn't last long. Hell they had proof he was running the tournements but all they truely had evedence of was Bison actually fighting in them. They needed written prooven proof that Bison ran the whole thing to recruit strong fighters for his army.

Dan Hibiki's Intro

As quoted in Wikipedia:
"Birthplace: Hong Kong
Birthdate May 6
Height 177cm
Weight 74kg
Blood type: O
Three sizes B113, W83, H88
Fighting style Saikyo-ryuu Style Karate Special skill Tile breaking, Karaoke
Likes Taunting
Dislikes Seaweed, Small-time crooks, and Pretentious People"

It was rare for one to so fundamentally alter the world of martial arts, let alone within mere years. Dan had improved, nay, revolutioned the basic structure of martial arts through his own, homegrown Saikyo-ryu style, literally, "Strongest." It was like the best of all styles baked into a rich pastry, slathered in the rich frosting that was Dan's genius - and nothing was more appealing than a slathering of Dan. Not that he ever let it go to his head - those around him felt the pink aura of quiet wisdom that radiated from his very being.

Tough times had acted as the catalyst that brought this steely warrior to prominence. After his father was killed by the Muay Thai master Sagat (surely a stroke of luck on Sagat's part), Dan trained diligently, perfecting Saikyo-ryu. The young man soon avenged his father's death, leaving Sagat a whimpering shadow of his former self. Sagat had begged to be taken as a student, a protege, and while the master declined to do so, Dan then realized it was his duty to deliver Saikyo to the world.

His momentum continued unheaded. Following the growth of his dojo and the surprise box office success of his Saikyo training videos (the critics mistakenly hailed it as a comic masterpiece, obviously ignorant of true martial arts prowess), he took on a special student, a young schoolgirl by the name of Sakura. She was a clumsy, oafish girl, but under the strict tutelage of Dan quickly found her skills amongst the top martial artists in the world.

Oddly, as the new tournament rolled around, Dan's mailbox remained empty. Certainly it was a mistake: there's no way the world's predominent martial arts master wouldn't be invited to the world's premier tournament. Dan's kindhearted demeanor was slow to accept the reality of the situation: he was facing the inevitable backlash from his rapid assention in the martial arts world in the form of jealous, fearful rivals desperate to remove him from the tournament. The sponsors must have bowed to pressure from the other competitors to keep the master of Saikyo-ryu from entering and simply dominating their lesser skills.

Dan knew the tens of millions of Saikyo-ryu fans would be crushed. Teenage girls would fall into a pit of despair they'd never recover from, languishing in a treacley muck of emo cliches posted to MySpace. Little children would wake up in tears as if Christmas had been canceled. Grown men's spirits would be crushed as they wept bitterly into their beer, while their wives at home would grow fat and lazy as the last remaining shred of hope they had for a decent man fell in tatters to the cold tile floor.

This injustice couldn't stand. With the very fabric of society threatening to rip apart, Dan's heart was filled with a tremendous resolve comparable to a thousand pink hurricanes. There was no other just response: Dan would travel to Spain on his own and demand his entry to the shock of his rivals! Dan would be there, and he would rock them like a hurricane!

Agreed! That was amazing! I'll get the first post started ASAP!

Name: Balrog
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/1d/Balrog.jpg/200px-Balrog.jpg

Birthdate: September 4, 1974
Height: 198cm
Weight: 102kg
Blood type: A
Fighting style: Boxing
Special skill: Gambling
Likes: Women, Bourbon
Dislikes: Fish, Effort, Math

After the collapse of the Shadoloo Corp. organisation Balrog was down on his luck and even more down on his dough. The mob bosses had blamed his "mismanagement" after Bison's death. It was probably true, but as Balrog couldn't say manig... maner... that manage thing, let alone spell it he thought they were mocking him. After a trademark headbutt one of their heads snapped back with such force it broke his neck - and they'd stopped bothering him.

He'd been banned by just about every boxing organisation in the States - was it his fault his opponents died? Did he have the time to read their frickin' "Roool Book"? How was he to know headbutts weren't allowed?

He'd got wind of a tournament in Madrid and the idea of prize money had him pumped. Most of these street fighters were air-fairy half wizards, half hippies with too much time spent on "magic" and "karma" and not enough time bustin' heads. He'd show 'em how it was done and get himself back on the map and back on the way up.

After working out Madrid wasn't in Canada after all, Balrog boarded the plane.

Several hours, molested stewardesses, unconcious stewards and terrified co-pilot's later he touched down.

Apparently they were expecting him. An entourage greeted him at the airport... it was like being back in the big time! He was shown to a huge mansion just outside the city. The room was bigger than his suite at The Vegas Grande and he had his own gym. They'd even been sweet enough to get him his favourite titanium cabled punch bag - it was so annoying having to get new cables to reattach it ever time he practiced his gigatonne punch... and the gym owner back home had been mighty pissed off about the punchbag shaped hole in his wall.

But right now he need a drink. He went to the fridge and smiled to himself, as he found a chilled glass and a bottle of bourbon. These guys were gooood... and he was back.

Name: Ken Masters
Birthplace: USA
Birthdate: February 14th, 1978
Height: 176cm
Weight: 76kg
Blood type B
Three sizes:B114, W82, H86
Fighting style: Goutetsu-style Ansatsuken learned from Gouken
Special skill: Cooking
Likes: Skateboarding and Pasta
Dislikes: Umeboshi (salty pickled ume fruits), Soap Operas

Ken Masters was born into wealth, the son of an American hotel magnate and his Japnese wife. Raised in luxury, his father noticed that his son was becoming spoiled and undisciplined. Through his wife's family, he had Ken sent to Japan at age 12 to study karate under the famed Master Gouken. Training under Gouken changed Ken's life forever, introducing him to his best friend and rival Ryu, and his greatest love: fighting. Ken's confidence and fiery disposition meshed well with the young Ryu, and though it was a hard process, the young Ken learned not only how to fight but how to be a good man.

Ken and Ryu were both released from training at age 18, and left the dojo to make their own way. Ken returned to the United States, entering and winning dozens of martial arts tournaments before becoming the U.S. Martial Arts Champion. During this time, he met Eliza, a beautiful young woman who he fell madly in love with.

Ken returned to Japan to tell Gouken of his victories, only to witness his master's brutal murder at the hands of Akuma. Traveling the world in search of Akuma and Ryu, he found his friend in a state of depression, even after the two engaged in a wild fight. Ryu said he had a dark power inside him that threatened to take him over in battle, to make him win at any cost, even taking the life of his opponent. Ken gave Ryu the red cloth he tied his hair back with, saying that he knew who Ryu was, and that Ryu wouldn't give in. The cloth would remind him if his friend and of himself.

Ken then continued to travel, now searching for his own path in life. His journeys led him again to Ryu, who had been captured by a mysterious tyrant named Bison. The two friends fought Bison and seemingly defeated him before parting ways once more.

After fighting in the second Street Fighter Tournament, Ken came home to his fiancee Eliza to face an ultimatum: Give up fighting or give up her. It was at this point that the invitation to the Madrid Tournment arrived. He felt torn, wanting more to his life than just fighting and training but valuing martial arts far too much to just give it up. It was a central part of who he was.

Ken accepted the invitation, hoping that the battle will clear his mind and show him the right path. Plus, Ryu might be there and he needs his friend's wisdom. Of course, there's also the fighting. He knows when he steps into the ring, and hears the roar of the crowd, all doubt will fall away and he will once again be the Burning Dragon of Ansatsuken!

Rai (pronounced Rye) Driscoll
Birthplace: Orlando, Florida
Birthdate: September 19th, 1981
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 170 pounds
Blood type: A- (are you japanese, by any chance?...this is a common thing in japanese anime and video games)
Fighting style: Kouga Ninjitsu, Bushido-den
Special skill: knowledge of pressure points

also, what exactly is the setting? is it based on the american cartoon, the movie, the video games, or the SF II V anime?

I'm not sure. I took the background for my version of Ken from the video games, though I made him a little younger as I'm assuming this is between the Street Fighter II games and Street Fighter III.

I'd check with Masume to be sure.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound pretentious. Just thought I'd share my thoughts.

it's probably not the II V anime...though there was another anime, one that had Chun Li a little older...II V had her at age 15....but she looked more like 25...since there are so many different plots, i wanted her to clarify, just in case anyone needed to alter their posts. After all, the only one i know of her being an Interpol Agent in is the american cartoon...in II V, she was the daughter of a Hong Kong Vice Squad leader

Name: Cammy White
Birthplace: Unknown
Birthdate: January 6th, 1982
Height 164cm
Weight 46kg
Blood type B
Three sizes B86, W57, H88
Fighting style: Shadoloo assassination techniques, Special forces training (Delta Red)
Likes: Cats, shopping
Dislikes: Anything, when she's angry

Cammy has little memory of her life before she woke up ont he doorstep of a British embassy. As she awoke, the embassy was attacked by terrorists. Cammy responded with incredible martial arts skill, defeating the attackers just as the elite SAS force Delta Red arrived to stop them.

Delta Red gave Cammy a home and a job, despite her amnesia and she embraced her new homeland of Great Britain. When the second Street Fighter tournament was announced, Cammy recognized Bison from the tournamnet info, though she didn't know why she recognized him. During the tournament, she discovered that Bison had created her to be a living doll, a mindless assassin in service to Shadaloo, and that she had a lot of blood on her hands. These revelations, and murky memories that seem to confirm them have left Cammy shaken, and in the midst of an identity crisis.

She has taken a leave of absence from Delta Red to try and get her head straight. In the middle of this came the invitation to Madrid. It looked interesting, and was something that didn't involve secret operations or Shadaloo (that she knows of), so she decided to accept.

((Thanks! I love SF, and it looks like there are some good writers here, so I'm looking forward to this. It's been a while since I really did any RPing, though, so if I make any dumb mistakes as time goes on let me know and I'll be sure to take care of 'em. ^-^ ))

Sorry for the intrusion but I was reading the IC, and so I wanted to answer Razor... and of course I wouldn't do it there...

The blonde, rival of Sakura, is Karin Kanzuki.

That's her name! Whoo! Thanks lol Sakura annoys the crap out of me for some reason. We already ahve a lovely roleplayers taking on the role of Miss Sexy Cammy. Hmmm...there's Rose but I'm not big on her either. Hmmm....

I think Maki is capcom but I think she was in Final Fight too. I think a Makoto would be good too.

You are welcome! :)

But... I love Sakura... *Cries* :( She is probably my second favourite char, after Ryu! :D Ryu is my favourite since I first tried a Figthing Game ages ago! :D In fact I didn't join only cause Ryu was taken! I can't betray him playing someone else, not even a made up char I think! :D I'll enjoy Fenix play as him tho! Go Fenix! :D So keep up the good work! :p

PS: There's also Juli and Juni, and Rainbow Mika! :)

Maki is Capcom... she is in final fight and in the remake of SFA3 for GBA and PSP.

Makoto is from SF3... That's the only SF I never tried... :(

Meh it was probably her obsession for Ryu. That's my damn spot! Grrr...*cough* Anyways lol Gotta admire Sakura’s spirit though lol R. Mika goes in the maybe pile. Her fondness of wrestling works for me. As I am a HUGE fan of it.

i kind of like King from Art of Fighting...it took me several weeks research before i found out King was a girl o_O
