I thought about writing a thread about a demon who finds that he cannot kill anymore and wants to redeem himself for all the people that he has killed. He decides to live on Earth and help people so he can do so but before he left for Earth he was forced to kill his sister which is the worst crime he could commit - the only crime he could commit in the underworld. Other demons with come to Earth to try and kill him which will force him to used his powers, one thing he does not want to do.

He wants to try and disappear in the world so that he can seek redemption for what he has done and wants to seek the one thing he wants most. He wants to try and find a way to get a soul and become human but does not know how that is possible. He will help others and I hope that I can find someone or more than one person who wish to be his companions, someone who will help him and have powers of their own.

anyway, it sounds like an interesting story, do you want human companions or can they be other demons?

Can you post your character here first before jumping into the IC thread.

You can post as a human if you wish to but if you wish to be a demon can you make the character an ex demon or kind of something like my character, one that has given up being a demon. If possible give your character some power so that they can help my character.

But if you wish to be a full demon then your character has to be evil and fight my character.

The product of a demon raping her mother. She is feared by humans and outcast by her demon bethren.
She only wishes to live, but has to fight for everyday of her life, the demon world constantly sends it minions to kill her.

Power: Power over the four elements. Fire, earth, water and air.
Weakness: She is very insecure, not sure where she fits in, if she should even exist.

I'm thinking of playing an angel, who's a little twisted. .. just a smidge.

BUT, the main concern is she feels sorry for demons who've not had the chance to repent. She does not understand this eternal punishment theory. . .she thinks people should be given second chances. Especially, like those of the main character.

So, she runs a secret organization on Earth, and has to change her looks, background, name, even her location every once in a while, but not before establishing contacts in the city so that her work will continue. She cannot promise a person something like a soul and redemption currently, but she is working on looking for loopholes and sees a good deed as a good deed, so why waste a willing "soul" who wants to help out?

Hope this makes sense. If it sounds like something interesting to the thread, let me know. She would not come in contact with a recently "rogue" demon until he or she has been hunted and almost killed a time or two by other demons, because she also has to be on guard against minions of hell trying to hunt her down. She's got enemies on both sides, but friends too.

Power: Arcane Practioner, studies Demonalogy, Herbs, Stones, Rituals... {Mainly Witch} Has some Necromancy skills, can see or talk to on rare occasions some undead.

History:

At a young age Shivan learned she had a gift or a curse which ever you want to call it.. She had the perfect talent to cast spells but with a draw back she tends to see Demons.

At age 18 Shivan found out her skill with the undead when she lost her cat, which just happened to show up on her bed. The only problem was her cat had been hit by a car the week before and was buried in the back yard. Needless to say her parents didn't take to kindly to her 'gifts' and so Shivan found herself out on the streets. Making a living the only way she knew how... Anyone need to speak to an lost loved one?

But with all good things comes the bad, Demons tend to find her, wanting their Boons for her 'gifts', which makes her be on the run a lot. Always fearing the day they catch up, and yet she can't help but want to help some, those unlucky enough to be able to do on their own.

I could play the villian some kind of demon shimmers in hurls some supernatural energy around, throws some sharp pointy objects, gets fought off somehow shimmers out, Get tortured by the guy who sent me to kill you because i failed etc... and try it all over again with a slightly different way of doing it, What do you say?

Her skin is weathered looking from too many years of sun worship and tanning booths. She usually has a cigarette dangling from her right hand unless she is working with a client. She works at a seedy "massage parlor" giving massages and negotiated extras. She barely earns enough to survive, but is too scared to work on her own. She feels her life has reached a dead end and that she will never be able to climb out of the lower class pit she finds herself in. Buried beneath the hard life is the soul of a dreamer and musician. She plays and writes songs that no one other than her cat has ever heard. Her voice is rough from years of smoking, but that could change if she was able to quit the habit. If she stopped dying her hair and let it grow out, was able to buy some classic looking new clothes she might actually clean up rather well.

History:
Her family was killed when she was 18, by a Werewolf clan. She tried to defend her family, but was too weak. Through accident, she manage to mortally wound the pack Leader, who bit her. As he was dying, the virus wasn't virrulent enough to turn her completely. She has few werewolf qualities, making her mostly human.

She moved out onto the street and vowed to learn how to fight, so that her loved ones wouldn't be killed again.

Power: Able to see perfectly in the dark, not so well at daytime. She has the larger canine's of a wolf, and she is able to sense magic and the supernatural.

Weakness: Strong, harsh light.

Not much is known about Leon, perhaps that is what make him so powerful. He is devastatingly handsome and he has a permanent soft smile attached to his features. He loves animals, has a certain affiliation with them. His favourite pet though, is his Black Panther, Azurial.
He is an ancient, unknown being. The less you know about this creature, the better off you'll be. The longer you will live.

Ok lemme explain this character, Maverick is a human he was a hunter of demons and a sword master, during a hunt he wounded a demon but before he dealt the deathblow it possesed him, ironic i know. They learned to co exist and now they cannot be seperated because whith Maverick the deomn Dirk can keep his rage in check, but when Dirk is realeased not only does Mavericks appearance change but he gains powers such as agility and strength and a few magical abilities (though Maverick does not understand them if he is pressured enough he can use them). Maverick is troubled still by sharing his body with this demon but Dirk has helped him out of many tight spots and has been accepted by Maverick. He also can control Dirk and call him only when needed but there has been a few instances where he hasnt been able to hold such a tight grip on the demon.

Despite his age hes in good physical shape when he was possesed his looks changed completly so he actually looks around 25. He carries a specially crafted katana which is small enough to keep under his long black trenchcoat.

I am only half way through the current thread, but since your profile suddenly lit up as online, I can't wait until I finish it to ask.

SO EXCITING!

I have this awful idea in mind about this mondo evil demon lord who was just too scary for his piers to put up with him any longer so they cooked up a curse and bound him in a human form. Its like he's got all the frailties now of a normal guy, except he just can't die -- ever. Sinec he's been stuck in a mortal form, he can only access a minute fraction of his power since his mortal body just hasd no means of handling it or directing it. So he has to rely on mortal means for all his plans. He's like this amazing astrologer and diviner now, because what else can he do. And he's an occult scholar with all these weird connections and contacts. Now he uses his knowledge and limited sensory powers to try to track down opportunities to free himself. The stars have told him, something not-so-wicked-anymore this way comes and he smells an opportunity to strike.

He'll come of as normal if slightly out of place / out of phase with his surroundings. And he'll be all nice and grandfatherly until he has people right where he wants them. Maybe he can use a repentant demons blood in a ritual to restore himself or some such nonsence.
