OOC: Presumed Guilty - updated casting call!

We had a storyline that was working, but characters have had to drop out.
If there is any interest I’d love to continue and develop the plot!

… but, in brief it involves the murder of a senator and the framing of his Mistress.

Many characters are possible, please feel free to add and invent.
(Anyone who could actually be on Charlotte’s side would be welcomed!)

Characters to date:

Charlotte Mason – murder suspect – amnesia – DeliciousMaiden

Trent Locke / Kevin Mason – Assassin posing as Charlotte’s husband. – DaveDuff

Betty Johnson RN – aka Raven - plant and bogus nurse – Feelin’ Naughty

Boss / Casper – CIA boss – Casper3110

Characters lost:

Doctor Peter Livingstone

Dubious methods, seems to take advantage of his female patients under hynosis, but talented doctor specialising in the treatment of amnesia – has no idea about the true cause of Charlotte’s illness. Nurse Betty’s assignment is to distract him!

Undercover cop

A character who has been sent to keep an eye on Charlotte and question her as and when her memory returns. His brief may also be to keep her safe. If she is not the murderess, then she can act as a witness to prosecute the men who did indeed murder her lover the Senator.

It’s complicated, but fun and only just taken off .. so I hope we can fill the gaps..
Hoping that the nurse and Casper are indeed fired up to continue.

BTW – Charlotte was supposedly one of the Senator’s daughter’s friends… which could be … interesting…

Sounds interesting! You need a doctor and a good guy, how about a fresh faced Doc fresh out of his internship and on his first assignment?

Just the kind of Doc who might be assigned on a case where nobody REALLY wants to get to the bottom of your amnesia, and the long schooling required would allow him to be inexperienced without being virtually illegal!

I actually had a PM offering to play Peter Livingstone as he stands - an experienced medic.

Would like to keep that character!

If you wish, you can post as the young intern assigned to work with Peter Livingstone. He may assign you to study Charlotte... but in this case I think that the police at least definitely *do* want to get to the bottom of things... lol ...

Failing that, you could play fresh faced cop... he pulled out too!

Makes sense to keep the Doc you've got. As the Cop has pulled out then I think sticking a replacement Law Enforcer onto the case makes sense!

Mind if I play an FBI agent though? I really think that the Feds would be all over a dead Senator!

Special Agent Krylov

Maiden,

It's an honour to be amongst such company... <grin> Here's my idea for a Character, do let me know how compatible John Krylov is, I'm always open to suggestion!

Name: Special Agent John Krylov
Age: 26
Hair: Brown, cut short and neat.
Eyes: Blue/Grey
Build: Fit but not overmuscled. Active and fairly graceful.

Background: Despite the name, third generation American. John Krylov comes from an unremarkable background with a Car Dealer and a Kindergarten Teacher as his parents. Became very interested in law through TV shows as a child and took a degree in Criminal Psychology and Law. Enrolled in the FBI academy after graduation and passed with flying colours. This is his first proper assignment after a very short "breaking in" period in a field office. Good theoretical knowledge of Law and Psychology but light on practical experience. Skilled enough in unarmed combat and firearms to protect himself, but not a "gunhead" or self defence expert. Conscientious, polite and thorough.

Plot Potential: In this story I see John as a random agent, dropped into the web of intruige around Charlotte. He will either clear the way for a formal indictment for the murder, recommend she be released or else recommend she be interned in a psychiatric facility as criminally insane. His boss at the FBI has had a sniff of the players involved in this case and has decided that Charlotte needs saving - politically he could never do so himself, but he knows that Krylov is a good Cop who actually cares about little things like Justice and Truth. Which way will John jump, though? Will he take the easy route and have Charlotte confined as insane without trial (the CIA might prefer this outcome), will he simply indict her for Murder or will he do something unexpected. No idea!

I know what you mean... I need to coord with MO in order to bring him a little closer into the story - give him some of the goodies on the situation that Charlotte finds herself in.

I'd be more than happy to be wandering in, but given how conscientious Krylov is, it wouldn't be very in character to have sneaked (snuck?? ) in AGAIN.

MO - Let's get that meet set up, and get you brought up to speed. But, like Charlotte, I didn't want to get in the way of your date with Betty - has anyone other than Dave heard from her?

I was trying to open door for nurse Johnson but I think I will bypass her for now and have her decline the dinner invitation.

I realise that Dr. Livingstone is not suppose to have an idea that Charlotte Mason's life is or may be in danger but I think that cat was let out of the bag with Peter's phone conversation with the Senator. That being the case, I agree with Stiener, the good Dr. and Agent Krylov should become more cooperative, however, making that switch and keeping it believable will be tough. Obviously in real life, doctor patient privelege would be held inviolate and the doctor would not help the investigator.

I am thinking that the DR. will view the tapes of Krylov and Charlotte. As a result, he realizes that Krylov is acting in the best interest of his patient and he decides to cooperate with Krylov's investigation... I am open for suggestions.

That all sounds good to me. I'm going to have a bit of a think as to what I think John Krylov's short term goals and plans would be, and how the main characters would fit in with them. Hopefully I'll be a little more prolific again once I get that sorted out in my mind!

And, hey, where's the guy in the bad guy during all this?

Thanks a lot DM, it's a pretty interesting walking the tightrope with Charlotte. I'm trying to keep John as "on the fence" as much as possible, because I think the character will become less interesting if I make my decision too early.

You're doing a great job as a believeable and sympathetic amnesiac, babe!

As he stood he felt a rigid length, hard and unyielding beneath his suit trousers.
It was decidedly uncomfortable and so John quickly removed it, placing his pistol back in the shoulder holster, now that he could do so without waving it under Charlotte's nose again
