Story:
There are multiple Pleasure Domes in the world. They are the computer of tomorrow meshed with the human mind. You enter a booth and hookup. Inside, you interact with people from around the world; but, you don't know that they are out of context with you. In other words, you could be underwater scuba-diving and talking with a spaceman.

Alarmed, she grasped the appendage harder and turned him to face the most unusual boat she'd ever seen. Clearly at the wheel she could see another Rebmeced, but he was wearing some sort of.. clothing. Did he fish in the purple waters?

Did you turn me into a Rebmeced?

Well, it looks as though that's how she perceives you... remember, we each play our part and interact even though we're not sure who the other really is--or, for that matter where, when, how, etc.
