A little place to facilitate discussions, planning and other merriment. :D

~*~*~*~*~*~

A joyous shout rose on the Jolly Roger. Neverland had changed since nightfall.
Winter had held the magical land and the surrounding sea in its frozen grip when the ship’s crew had gone to bed but now all conquering spring had exploded everywhere.
Neverblossoms covered every branch, in every conceivable colour, scenting the air with their delicate fragrance. Birdsong drifted on the air, occasionally accompanied by the rhythmic beat of the Indian drums, harmonized by the mermaids in the lagoon and every now and then interrupted by a whoop from the lost boys somewhere within the trees.
The sea was now a tempting sparkling turquoise, nothing like the icy white it had been before, and sunlight warm and seductive drew sighs from the pirates below as they turned their bristled chins skyward.
This change, as marvelous as it was for the on looker, held particular interest for one man.
Captain James Hook. For if spring had returned…it could mean only one thing.

Peter Pan was back in Neverland. And if Pan was back, the Captain could finally put his plan into action.

Reserved for Captain Hook information.

So one thing I was thinking of is the whole 'hook' part. I dunno about you ladies, but I do not have a thing for amputees. So I am thinking of making him still have his hand and just say that the fight which took his hand has not occurred yet.

If that's how you'd like to play it then that's fine with me but perhaps have him had his hand and hook but thanks to some extensive travel on his part (enabled by Pan's most recent, and extended, absence from Neverland) he found a 'witch doctor/magical item/something shiny' that enabled him to wish for it back....how's that sound? That way he'd still be Captain Hook and still have his anger towards Pan that would make him want to kidnap Wendy etc. etc.

Just realised, do you know how he lost his hand? The whole crocodile thing?

That's a good idea. See? This is why we needed an OOC!

Honestly I am not a big Peter Pan lore buff, I suppose there is different versions of it though eh?

Yes, of course. An interest in a man with a hook.. That would be.... Weird...

*hides a few pictures and coughs*

I've heard a few versions of it.
Peter lopped it off and tossed it to Tick Tock Croc, or Tick Tock simply chomped it himself while Hook was chasing Peter....
There was another version as well, I'm blanking on....

There's a film on Netflix that has another version of the whole Peter/Hook story. That they were friends in "normal world", but a magic orb took them to Neverland, where they were separated.
Peter befriended the Indians, while Hook was taken in by a pirate woman and her crew. (It had the guy I've come to associate with mr Smee AS Smee, but I cannot remember his name!)

The woman convinces Hook (Just happened to be his last name, no missing hand at that point) that fairy dust can provide incredible power and they need it. Seduces him, but says that if Peter is with the Indians, he's now an enemy and must be killed.

And, blah blah bloo, they end up hating each other, Hook gets the ship, but they still... Kinda... Have a friendship enough that Hook cannot kill him.

At least, that's what I remember of it.
I may be combining things.

Snickers softly

Well if you want a hook maybe we can arrange that before the miracle cure ;)

I saw that last one. It was a Scyfi series if memory serves. I enjoyed that take on it. The lost boys were actually thieves and orphans, hook took them in and trained them. He was also a fencing teacher or something like that.

All in all a very interesting take.

I am planning to do a little research to figure out how I want to handle it.

Name: Sara Elizabeth Howard
Age: 19
Appearance: Here

Sara used to be absolutely enamored with her grandmother's tales of a magical place with wonderous flying people, amazing little creatures, and the dastardly pirate that she insisted she knew first hand. Even the scars upon her her arms were brought into the story, how this and that had led to the marks being left. She used to believe her grandmother was the bravest woman on Earth, and that this Peter was the most amazing person who ever existed.

Captain Hook was always in her nightmares. Vile and evil, a voice she had never heard, haunting into her mind. Her grandmother's stories left her afraid of ships, of water. Anywhere that the man known as Hook could possibly re-enter her mind.

The stories drifted away from her as she grew, finding the tales to be nothing more than the tellings of a woman entertaining her grandchild over time, but the fears remained. Shyly declining trips with others on their boats, refusing to accompany the family to outings to the ocean. Her brother would mock her, tease her continuously. "Scaredy Cat Sara, Afraid of the sea! Captain Hook, Captain Hook, take her away from me!"

She needed to grow up.
She had to grow up.

But those stories... All those stories.
She would listen to the wind at night, and watch the sky. She swore sometimes she saw a star out there that seemed brighter than the others. She thought she heard a name called on the wind. Not her own... Her grandmother's.

She told her about it only once.
"Neverland is looking for me, Sara. But I'm too old to answer."

(I'll be adding more to this as it comes to me, but I found a pic and had thoughts come with it!)
