OOC:"Medieval SRP, when DnD and Sex meet" (Closed Casting Call)

Good Day to everyone!

To get straight to the point, I've always enjoyed sexual role-playing and DnD. Unfortunately you can rarely combine the two.

This game will use TSR's 3rd edition Core rulebooks, since that's all I have. If another setting/ruleset is wanted, another DM will need to be found. Honestly, I wouldn't object in the least. :)

Here's the deal, if anyone wants to DM, let me know. I am not exceedingly excited about DMing, but I can do it. Unless another DM comes around to take my place, I will allow five players of any race, class, gender, sexual preference, whatever. :)

I would also like to work, at least initially, with the players to decide their favorite setting/game style. Respond here with your Race, class, gender, preference and prefered style (from hack n slash to brain-intensive)

I will be playing the part of Terra Silverstool, tall, slender, red hair, and very sexual when the time comes. She is human, ranger, Female and bi-sexual. She loves to fight, fuck, and figure out problems. She couldn't care less about the political leanings of what's his name and doesn't give a damn about who's favor she has. (Don't worry, I can write better than that...just want to get this call out there)

As this short bio implies, I like fighting and puzzle-solving. I don't like lots of political involvement and unclear choices. In my games, I don't want to have to talk to the goblin first to see if he's hostile.

That leaves four more positions open. If you're not familiar with Dnd or the best party compositions, etc...here is a general recommendation.

Two more fighters, one with ranged weapons, the other with close combat.
A rouge, for traps, picking locks, assasinations, etc.
And a Cleric/Wizard or any other type of magic user, prefferably with healing abilities.

I am not going to require any character sheets. Base abilitie scores may be needed later, but I trust that everyone has the ability to RP well and understand when to fight and when to fail.

This is not a full bio casting call yet. Just get your name in the hat and tell us what kind of person you'd like to be. Well get in more detail after we have more people.

Oh yes....

Hi...

I'd love to play especially with a small group. I used to play ADD 3rd Edition. I'm open to a female magic user (probably human) or a female halfling thief or a female elf fighter (bow & short sword).

In any case, she'd be bi and would enjoy suffering the turmoils of being a woman in a man's world.

Smiles

<smile>

Mmm...two of my favorite things, how nice...hehehe Definitely mark me down as interested in being one of the initial five...

I'll be playing a male halfling cleric/rogue of Brandobaris...sneaky but flamboyant...a touch greedy but with a caring heart (among other body parts that is <wink>)

Let me know when you want more in-depth bios

This sounds like a very good place for me to bing out my female character, Tygressa Calin.

Tygressa Calin or "Ty" as she is know to all her friends, is one of the last of a special race called a cat-slave. The cat-slaves are a breed of humans that were crossbreed with a great cat, lion, tiger, etc.., producing a species that is mostly human except for the cat ears and tail. Each cat-slave has a different look to its ears and tail just like humans have different hair and eye color, Ty's for instance are like that of a siberian tiger. The cat-slaves as their name implies were slaves to other races, the males were sent to do manual labor and the females were used as pleasure slaves.

*I need to speak with Princess Jessie about how to get Ty involved though I have some ideas.*

The Fornificators of the Ring...yeah...

:)

Well, I had a really neat story written out, but I lost connection and everything disappeared. GRRR...

Well, here's the revised version.

We have all five characters, here they are...

Terra Silverstool (Princess Jessie) -> Human Bi-Female Ranger
Nameless (Vergis) -> Hetro-Male Wizard
Nameless (Little_golden) -> Elven Bi-Female Fighter
Nameless (Remec) -> Halfling Male Rouge
Tygressa Calin (Jeremy Davis) Cat-Slave Female Something...:)

Alright, if there are no problems with that let's move on.

To improve your character's bio, PM me. We will talk specifics there, it makes it less of an issue in here. :) There are three points that must be made:
1. Every character must be an out-law, exile, or outcast of some sort. They must have a reason for needing to run and not show their face to the 'authorities'. The reason will be clear further down.
2. I would like every bio to have a 'secret' section. Part of your bio will not be revealed to the other players. If you're a rouge, perhaps you have a real name, or if your a fighter, perhaps you are on a secret quest. Etc. It can be as specific and detailed as you'd like, or nothing more than a vauge hint at this point. The reason is that I will know, but no one else will...lot's of story potential.
3. Every character must have a goal. Perhaps something as simple as 'get as much gold as possible' or something as complex as 'Find the Tome of Withering Summer and bring it to the temple of Cre' Nauta. Once there, burn the tome while praying for the resurrection of my old friend Barion, who knows the secret location of...' You get the idea.

Again, these should be sent to me in PMs...especially the secret stuff. :) BTW, there's no reason why you're public goal and your actual goal can't be different. That's part of what the secret field is for.

I believe I should mention, now, that at any time...ANY TIME...during the design, game, or anything, if you have an idea...PM ME! Online RPing takes a lot of trust and skill, so I must grant every last member of this core group powers that a normal DnD player would not have. You can create adventures, story-concepts, characters, whatever...just PM me. This can't be run like a normal DnD game since I don't think any of us want to wait a full day to hear the results of one D20 roll in the first combat. I'd be in and out of the NAVY before we even get out of the first room! :) No Die rolls, few maps, and even fewer rules. As always, you must know when to fight and when to fail. I think we all know the basics of OL RPing...so I won't go into them. :) (You're welcome...)

Alright, for the storyline...this is stirctly a vauge map and world design, so don't read too much into it.

The world we will all be in has nothing more than large islands. On the average, the seven largest islands are about the size of Australia. The are many moderately sized islands and innumerable small ones .

Each large island is a kingdom and belongs predominantly to one race...as follows.

2 islands belong to the Elves. They are almost completely forest. The two Elvish kingdoms, while not at war, are not friendly with each other. One kingdom maintains the traditional isolationist and superiority concepts, while the other has opened it's arms to relationtions with other races. This doesn't mean that the second kingdom believes themselves equals, or that they like outsiders, but they do tolerate them and try to be friendly. I suppse this is somewhat like the difference between the north and the south before the American Civil War in relation to slavery.
1 Island belongs to the Dwarves. This island is nothing more than a gigantic mountain, easily the tallest landmass in the world. There is a large circular chasm from the peak of the mountain down below the waters. It is roughly 150' across and is perfectly smooth, as far down as the dwarves have explored. This chasm is used as both an 'elevator' shaft and waste disposal.
3 Islands belong to the humans, though only because of the ruling class.
The last island, the most important one to us, has no government, no legitamate authority, etc. It is the home of the world's worst element. Criminals, Pirates, Vagabonds, etc. This is...unfortunately perhaps...where we will all start.

Any problems so far? Any objections? Any Ideas??

Let me know, let's get the bio's written, and let's get going! :)

A little more info...

A few things have come to my attention while working out character bios...here are some points I need to make.

I should point out that the Dwarven kingdom is inside the mountain, there are no 'beaches' per se. The entire perimeter of the mountain consists of cliffs a hundred or more feet high. The dwarves do have significant amounts of goods, minerals and precious metals, for trade and they find that the easiest way to do so is to allow the other races to come to their ports. Dwarven ports are large caverns in the mountain at water level that ships can sail into and dock. Around these docks there have, as always, grown commercial areas and businesses to cater to the sailors and travelers.

As far as power levels go, I wouldn't want to start everyone off at level 1. We've all been there too often. I was thinking around level 5-8, maybe higher. You can make many of your called shots, but your not god-like. Basically I want the game to progress similar to any good fantasy book. The characters are impressive, they can do amazing things, but they still have to run from powerful enemys and can be hurt or even killed. Make sense?

Thanks!

Has anyone heard if we are going through with this thread or not? I was really really looking forwards to doing this one...
