It seems similiar to a 1920's House of Pleasures II, but perhaps with some interesting characters, since it won't be modern times.

I would like to add my encouragement along with Red. I've been looking forward to this for awhile now. I would hate to see it fade away. I know I'm a fledgling writer in the SRP realm, but I think it's going to be a good story and fun.

Just in case any new ppl want to bone up on my character. Kalli is not looking for salvation, her motivation is rebellion. She is inheriently distrustful of ppl who seek the salvation of others and she does not ask to be saved. She is exceptionally submissive and eager to please, and will do whatever is asked of her. Currently she will submit just to please, but as she becomes more cynical she will submit only if the price is right.
She didn't have anywhere else to go. The daughter of a fundamentalist preacher did not attract many guys in a town so small there were few prospects to begin with. Then the horrible night when he heard a noise in her bedroom and went to investigate. He had been so angry when he caught her, and it didn't matter to him that she was asleep. Masturbation was a sin, even if happened as a result of a dream. She was lusting in her head, he said. "But Father," she pleaded "I'm still a virgin!" It was no use he was THE religious authority in town, and he had condemned her as a slut if not in body then in heart, mind or both. There was no distinction. The next morning he gave her thirty minutes to pack, drove her to the bus station and left her there with a five dollar bill. She shook these thoughts out of her head. The Madame had picked her up off the streets where her viginity would have been taken for sure. Here she had food, shelter and would get something out of her body. Besides, if she had been condemned as slut and whore she might as well get as much out of it as she could.
Tonight, she would actually submit herself to a man. She would be taught how to please, and in so doing satisfy her need to please others. She would live out her dreams...and this brought a girlish/devilish grin to her face.
Finally, I understand how Ivy felt earlier in this thread. I apologize for any part I may have had in that series of threads.

Appearance/Mannerisms: Curly, Dark Brown Hair, Blue-gray eyes, About 6' tall, 170 lbs. Currently wearing a pair of his best shoes, a white dress shirt, black pants, a wide brimmed hat, and long black overcoat. Ren is half cajun, his from his mother's side, and still speaks with a very slight cajun accent.
Background:
Ren had been homeless as a child, practically raised on the streets. His mother had been a woman of ill-repute, and he'd never known his father. For money, he used to do street drawings. After his mother passed away, he continued doing this to keep himself fed. He showed quite a bit of promise, his talent evident, and as he got older, he started doing murals. His work started drawing notice, and it drew the attention of an wealthy and attractive older woman name Gabrielle Boudroeux, who was a parton of the arts.
She took the teenaged Ren into her house, and started to introduce him to influential people in the arts. His popularity grew, and soon his paintings were selling to some of the most infuential people in New Orleans. Eventually, he found himself making a good living on his own. As he got older, and grew into manhood, he and Gabrielle had somewhat of an illict affair for a short time. All good things must come to an end, however, and eventually Lady Boudroeux ended it, not wanting rumors to spread to her husband. Ren found himself again alone, albeit this time in better financial conditions.

Welcome to the thread wyld. Of course Latin Lady is the administrator so she'll have to give approval to your request to join, but I'll be happy to see you come aboard if she does. You obviously have a flair for detail. I like that.

Actually, a big draw for me is that I like the setting in which the story is taking place too, tho. Something about that particular time period always has appealed to me.

Yeah, so I didn't see this thread before the IC one, so I guess I'll start from the beginning a bit. ^_^() I'm new at this, so suggestions are always welcome.
I wanted to make a female character who is a patron and maybe someday (depending on the story development) becomes a worker. She is young and curious about her sexuality, but cannot make it public. She comes from a wealthy family that is well respected in the city, hence why she freaks out when she goes in.
That's kinda all I have for now...
