Has anyone done an IF before as an ORP game?
Remember that board game Clue?
What if we could make it more of a 3D game?

Directional Commands
N, E, S, W
Inventory
look (general description of area)
history (post where you have been so the reader may follow)
Other Commands
look at (description of object or character)
up (on ladder or stairs)
down (on ladder or stairs)
unlock (doors and boxes)
lock (doors and boxes)
on (anything a character or object can be on or rest on)
under (anything a character or object can be under or rest under)
move (anything you can move)
drop (anything you can drop)
in (anything an object or character can be in)
out (command after in)
remove (applies to an object surrounding another object or character, such as a bracelet, necklace, rubberband, or container)
drive (a command for a taxi driver, a bus driver, and a shouffer)
get (combined with another command, can ask other characters who may refuse or command an NPC who must obey)
talk (thinking outloud to nobody)
talk to (talking to another character, may slip in extra information)
ask (combined with a name, you may ask a character a specific question or ask for an object after look at)
give to (giving an object to a character)
clue (character will give you a clue, but may hold back information until the next room is entered)
clue (if not with character, may ask narrator in PM, with same results)
exit (leave game for the day)
pause (leaving for a little while)
solve (used in PM when leaving for good)

This doesn't need to be Clue.
I was just giving you an example.

Someone else can start this.
I may join latter, possibly late in the game.

None for me, thank you.
Then what if you could make your own commands (plus some of these) depending upon your character?
For instance for a wizard:
Sleep Spell
A0 = All in the room (both humans and monsters)
A1 = One person (must be human)
A2 - A9 same (A9 includes monster)
Fireball
B1 = Kill when thrown (human or monster)
B2 = Stunned when thrown (human or monster)
Levitation
C0 n = Raise self and move north (can use e, s, w)
C1 n = Raise objects north of you (can use e, s, w)
C0 = Hover in air
C1 = Raise any objects seen
C2 = Move objects to self
C3 = Move objects to any players seen
Invisible Shield
D0 = Around self
D1 = Project 1 shield (impenetrable)
D2 = Project 2 shields (shields unstable)
Lightning Strike
LR = Lightning Random (stuns if hit)
Teleportation
TA = Teleport anywhere (can only be used after D0)
All wizard commands for one turn only, unless 0 is used (0 is like a free roll).

Basically, what I'm suggestion is an online Dungeons and Dragons, but any subject can be used.

Actually, www.white-wolf.com has an awesome online roleplaying system for action-oriented games, with the added benefit of dice rollers.

I'm not a very D&D oriented player... was a VtM storyteller and player.. and VtR made me so.. depressed is the right word, at the limited game play it offered that I meant back to running a modern VtM room.

You might try White Wolf or one of the D&D sites for suggestions to help you out.
