OOC: Drow Thread Ideas

The purpose of this thread is to develop any ideas for a story thread based on Drow elves. All plot ideas are welcome, well as character ideas.

1. The thread will take place on a Drow city, that means non-Drow chacrters can be present, but they will be few ( 1 or 2 non-Drow characters maximum).

2. Drow society will be as normal, matriarcal society

3. Theew will be a maximum of 3 Houses (or families) each led by a matron (female Drow).

Anyone who has reada book of Drow by R. A. Salvatore or Elaine Cunningham will have a pretty good idea of what Drow are. If you havent and are interested in joining the thread, pm me with any questions you may have or post them here

I had a idea, I joined you in the last Drow thread and that was going good. But so there is no killing of PC’s I think maybe a idea of us working together in some way of survival. Like in Richard R. Bryers book “Dissolution” and “Insurrection” that is a way we could all have a good time. Let me know what you think. But I would like to play the leader of a Bregen De’Erthe group like Jarlaxle; he was one of my favorites.

Welcome everyone, Im glad the thread is having a good response

Of course you can play a Weaponmaster Steiner.

I havent read any of those books Amon, and so basing a thread on those books would be a little difficult I think. Thats why I suggested the idea of playing a story with a Drow city as main Scenario.

Welcome Adapt, you can play a slave as long as it is not a Drow. Human is good though

Jo'runne Renn of House <Your Organisation Here!!>

A minor son of minor nobility, House Renn was a mercantile family who had achieved modest status in the city, making it their business to never become too powerful or too important, and thus preserving their safety at the cost of eminence.

Attending the Melee Magthere, the cities training academy for warriors, Jo'runne has placed fourth, his expertise giving him a slight name in the city for speed, skill and above all ruthlessness.

In the years since his graduation Jo'runne has carried out several missions, both for House Renn and for the city council, including several surface raids. In all of these he has behaved in an exemplary fashion, and House Renn is becoming a little nervous. Jo'runne is a prime candidate for a leadership position in a city strikeforce, but the position is political, and House Renn fears it will attract the notice of more powerful rivals if Jo'runne succeeds. Instead, therefore, they have made a deal with the Matron Mother of House <Your Organisation Here!! Apply for details!> and transferred Jo'runne to that house as Weaponsmaster.

Race: Part Incubus, part human, being born from a human Mother and being bared from an Incubus Father
Age: 433
History: A rather young demon, but being tempered by reality serves to exponent his increasing wide range of wisdom, already adapt in the field of pleasing women, being his nature as an Incubus, but his other many talents include Art, Music, and Combat, his strength in the Human used Weapon of the Great Axe is near unparallel in his hands, yet he enjoys mostly quiet nights, far different from his brethren how rather enjoy blood and combat, rather sophisticated for his age he did live of life of relaxation, training in his weapon during the day and relaxing with a fine wine and a book of wizardry in the evening…

Recently however he was intercepted by a band of Drow Shadow blades, being out matched by 1 to 20 odds he was quickly subdued and was treated as an object, beaten and sold, when his in-subornation came about all to frequently he was again sold or given as a gift, treated like this for many years he declined to press his talents onto the dominating matriarchy matrices of near 7 houses, some of which included Draken, Dray’coll, Frey’ick, Drass, and Purell, soon sold into entertainment to fight creatures then graduated to tougher opponents, he was forced to retire by another house and now finds himself as a gift to house (some house here)…

Zackaria as it states above is a demon with many talents, most of all it is to pleasure women as his ranking of Incubus states, of course attractive to the opposite sex, more will be detailed in the first post of course, he always appears to be handsome, no matter the bruises and cuts on his body, also another effect of his Incubus tendencies…

I'd like to see this happen. Do you need more male or female characters? I'm thinking about a sly, male major-domo / slavemaster, who was given the political position in House Renn that was denied Jo'runne. He is interested in gaining political power, and will do anything to please the matriarchs, both of his own House, and of any other House that serves his interests.

If you need more females, I'd be interested in a young drow princess just learning about her role in the great society.
