OOC/Casting: Seeking Rules-based RPG without a PG-13 Limit

I've played RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons for years, but as I got older many of my characters got more mature. Women who would sell their bodies to get past security, or who got down and dirty with their companions when the nights got cold. But so far the only play-by-post sites I've played on all have a PG-13 cut off. This gets on my nerves after awhile. Please note: I'm looking for forum-based gaming, not over email or other.

I'd like to find a small group (maybe 4-5 players plus a Game Master) to play a rules-based game that won't limit the sexual tendencies involved. I'm not looking to GM, I'd like to play. I'm open to ideas for what system, I've played standard Dungeons & Dragons and had dirty character ideas, and then I've played World of Darkness games which seem to really lend themselves well to such ideas. I'm not even seeking a 100% sexual game, just one that doesn't restrict us when we do want to take the characters there. I'm aware that as a small group game, sex scenes might limit participation (only two characters involved for a while) but I think that if we're fair and let everyone get their turn in the spotlight, that shouldn't be something we can't get past.

Literotica doesn't have dice, which might present a problem, but perhaps there's a way to get over that? Worst case scenario the GM could make all rolls and determine everything him/herself.

Does anyone have a game like this that they'd recommend, or want to start? I've looked through the first page of threads so far and haven't seen a lot of structured games, mostly freeform RP. Are there other rulesets I'm overlooking that might lend themselves well to an adult-themed game?

Yes, I know this is a very open-ended request. I figure I'm going to catch more people that way. Here's hoping, anyway.

I've written D&D-style based threads here in the ORP and SRP, including some high power and some just plain silly ones.

I've worked with DM's (or TM- thread master?) that guide the players via PM with the thread being the in-character stuff. That tends to work pretty well.


You could check out https://marketplace.roll20.net/ for online games with electronic dice rolls, customizable rules, etc.

I play play-by-post which generally has the GM writing the part of all NPCs and just narrating... as long as it's obvious what's being offered to the characters and what's being asked of them, it works pretty well. Using color for OOC text as needed is easy enough, or just making a separate OOC thread works too. I'd do any/all of the above.

Thanks for mentioning Roll20, I'd completely forgotten they have dice involved. I've mostly used it for maps in the past, but that's a really good idea, thanks!

Any chance you're interested in a game? As player or game master, either works as long as I find a GM sooner or later to run it.

I'm on everyday but, just finally decided to register. I used to game yrs ago but, don't have much experience at being a GM. I think finding a GM & letting them pick a small cast of characters that would work best for what they had in mind would work best. Then let everyone pick who they'd like to be out of the GM's set of characters for the story. I'm open to playing whatever character is needed. I find playing a character out of the norm or not what they had in mind makes people more creative and less likely to have the "best in the room" complex. I also noticed your PG-13 comment. We can just make it a PG-13 Minimum game. lol

Sorry, Zippo, I'm not looking to select a premade character from a GM's list. That's just adding another restriction even as you take away the rating issue. I was looking for a relaxed game with creative people who could play together just as easily in a PG scene as an R scene. And I think I've found it with a different group... gonna call this a "closed" search for the time being.
