how bout if he foucuses his anger, then i add 5 damage to whatever damage he wanted to deal with martial arts? anger= 0+ (5* however much he is ticked of normaly (including mansion?)) it would cost 10 points per foucoused, and i would keep track of it at the top left corner of the screen. that way i would do all the work. what do u think??
im gonna try to improve on this. ill sugust a system or too (maybbe just one more, im lazy) and you can consider it. sorry to complicate matters.

anger= 0 + (5*angered in posts) i could take anger, divide by 2, and that would be the chance of a 10% damage reduction per post.

exp: anger=20 20/2=10 10%chance of 10% damage reduction.

anger=0+(1*how many times angered)
anger= m.e. reduction.

im sorry if all these systems annoy you, but im trying to find one that works well.

i cant think of anymore right now. shag i suggust you pick one or come up with a good combonation of them. i hope we fill find one that is perfect for use. thank you in advance for helping.

I'll try to help a little. Iceman is a little complicated because he is one of the few common x characters (Storm, Jean Grey, Professor X) ALMOST too powerful to be fun rping with. He and Storm I tend to favor as playable with Jean Grey and Professor X too power.

Because of that and the nature of his powers there will be a couple of things I suggest.

1. Flood -35 ME points : Manipulates water molecules to create a small flood to partially immobilze an opponent

-NOTE: The flood wouldn't work against someone who can fly. If successful opponent can't attack for one turn because they'd be knocked off balance but they can defend

Some opponents like telekinetics or Juggernaut could defend against this

2. Freeze - 70 requires more energy than a flood but takes away more damage (10) in addition to completely immobilizing an opponent for one turn. It can also be used against flying opponents, opponent can neither attack nor defend but it requires both hands (Iceman can't freeze more than one opponent)

3. Ice Projectiles - 10-70 (Some of these can be blades and depending on where they are aimed can kill but Iceman can't generate more powerful than that)

DEFENSIVE

1. Shield - 10-50: Requires both hands (he can only protect one person with this) An attack stronger than 50 his shields cannot protect against

2. Ice Armor -20 ME (Iceman can never have a mutant ME above 80 as long as he wears his armor. 20 is taken away when he puts on the armor or "ices up" and isn't returned til he takes it off ie goes back to human) When his armor is on 25% damage reduction for all but telepathic attacks

Have fun rping him he's one of my faves:)
shag you forgot a m.e. reduction. im sorry but i finished editing about a day ago and i just found this. we can agree how to comind the two. i might work on it by myself until u get a chance (a little unliky) but i think you should look at my finished edit and remember that iceman may not have reached true potential, but he has good control (or so thinks me). ill quote my finished edit below this to make it easier for you

bio
codename: iceman
real name: bobby drake.
bio:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iceman_(comics)
powers: can manipulate thermal energy(drain it). he can turn into organic ice, having the ability to regenerate any damage in the form(even if shattered, can come back together). he can also turn into sentient water vapor or water. he can make an ice slide, progectiles, and shields.

offensive
1. can freeze enemys (10-70)
2. throw progectiles (10-100) depending on amont thrown and how big. add 10 damage per hit, 5 if large.
3. flood (20-100)
defensive
1. shield (1-100) depending on attack
2. ice armor (5-60)
3. ice copy 40% chance it will be attacked (never to late to learn a new trick)
hope thats ok shag. takes 5 energy points
4. near invisability. 70% chance he wont be spotted.
5. healing takes 5 points to heal (5 * (damage / 100)
6. ice slide 60& of doging enemy. 80% chance of recuing team member. costs 5 point m.e. per 10 feet traveled.

costs 5 m.e. points to change form(liquid, solid, etc.)
80% m.e. reduction; has superb control, but hasnt reached full poential

this might take awile to complete. (im starting to get lazy :p ) shag i want advice on changing points after im done editing. (might take awile, so if its realy urgent go ahead and pm me. )
here ya go shag. yay! :catroar:

i should probably lower the m.e. reduction and put some of what you said into it. ill wait for a responce. till next we text!

hey shag, i just was looking at gamefaqs.com and they have all the xmens abilitys in the apoclypse version. it is slightly interesting and cordinates with the levels. it might be usefull. if u got time u could look at it. its in the skills faq.

no kidding. its mostly cause shag is on the west coast. we have no choice but to wait. if you would be so kind, prehaps you could take a look at the casting call for "there are no tratttiors, just enemys" (im preety sure thats what its called. it needs some help getting off the ground.

Jake all OOC comments and posts are to be made in the OOC. The overall mood of the Institute needs to feel like the place where shit is actually happening, OOC posts disrupt that.

I'm sorry for the slow down everyone.

Magik and Skoll are the last two to get an edit and I'll continue to look at updates or changes to my edits anyone would like to make.

you alrady put a 40% m.e. reduction in phycho mode, but im more then happy to change it to 50%. and if i read you right your saying i can keep the anger system, but make it so that theres a m.e. reduction instead of damage whatever? probably 10% m.e. reduction right? im trying to keep it simple, sorry about trying to make him too strong before. :( . and like i said before, try to keep relaxed. :) . and feel free to update the danger room challenge at anytime, we are all ready for it. :nana: . it dosnt matter if u do it in the middle of the night. ;) . bye!

50% is fine

The anger designation along with the Psycho though doesn't seem necessary. When you set the points for Psycho's strength potential like the weakest blow he can do and the strongest, if he is angry you can reflect that in making a stronger blow.

Having jake as human mode, psycho mode, and anger mode is a bit too much at this stage.

Is doesn't look like your updated Iceman points has changed much at all Jake.

One of the things about the powers in the thread is different ones need to do different things. Iceman's powers are pretty unique so the way his powers work should reflect that.

Just saying he can freeze an enemy 10-70 doesn't reflect a frozen opponent can't move. Iceman has also rarely freezes someone in a way that does damage as much as it slows them down or immobilizes.

An 80% reduction is a bit high. I'm taking Cyclops down considerably. He won't be 95%. That's the reason we are in the Danger Room to find out what works and what doesn't.

50% is more accurate for Iceman.

But some of the powers and points you're giving Iceman just don't work.

Iceman is pretty good at dodging and we may have to use a percentage system in dodging eventually but Iceman doesn't really dodge that many attacks.

His ability to create an Ice Shield also would never have a strength of 100.

Cyclops strongest blast is 100. Iceman can't create a sheet of Ice strong enough to stop even half of Cyke's blast.

And the Ice copy and invisibility are good ideas but that's something that should be under POTENTIAL meaning after missions and danger room training you could do it.

Right now you should stick to mostly canon powers and abilities.

X-Man

Name: Nate Grey
Bio: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Man (He is now a mutant shaman)

Powers: Nate possess top level telekinesis and is an immensely powerful telepath

Offensive Powers

1. Telekinisis - (0-100) Able to manipulate matter with his mind

2. Telepathy - (0-100) Able to read and control sssssthe minds of others

3. Telepathic Or Telekinetic Spikes - (0-100) Nate either projects an intense telepathic assault that feels like a knives cutting into the body of a victim or supercharges the molecules in the air in select places making the molecules in the air themselves hot enough to harm a person

4. Telekinetic Punch and Kick (40-80) Nate places a TK shield around parts of his body and then uses his telekinesis to increase the speed of his attack intensifying the strength and speed of his attacks

DEFENSIVE POWERS

1. TK Shield -Nate uses his TK powers to constantly project out matter. His shields are powerful enough to twist light and prevent it from reaching him (1-100)

2. Flight - Nate can lift himself using his TK powers (-2-5 depending on speed)

3. Phasing - Nate can move the molecules of his body in between the spaces of atoms (-20)

Notes:

-Nate is invulnerable to telepathic attacks and probing

-Nate has a mutant energy reduction factor of 100. So even if he uses energy he "loses" it but Nate's power is practically limitless.

-He can attack up to 3 individuals at one time through his hands and his eye
NOTE: I am very much aware of Nate's power levels. His presence in the thread like Vulcan's is for combat training purpose and part of a larger story that will become more apparent as the game continues.

Whoa! I haven't been on Lit in ages and this is what I find!

I'll have to catch up on details, but I'd like to reclaim Multiple Man, if that's cool.

Looks like quite an operation here. Very nice.
