The Shogunate in Feudal Japan used Ninjas as assasins and spies, nothing really mystical about it. And they were very good at it. It died out, just as the Shogunate died out. But ninjitsu is still alive, and it is considered a form of martial arts. It is nothing mytical about that too. Ninjitsu is like Taekwondo or karate, a recognized form of self-defense and martial arts.

They're elusive because of their training as spies and assassins. It wouldn't do them too much good if they were caught because they paraded on the streets in their balck pjs? No gene tranference here, just training from young, and they did however had political aspirations inherited through their masters...

there are many many societies, one that i'm in, and i know Kelson is in it too, the SCA. we get up in armor, we have battles, to storm castles and all that sort, train to be like knights. it's alot of fun. it's over nothing america, and i think in europe

I said it, I actually have a friend who does that stuff. What I'm talking about is you don't see a guy clad in heavy armor with a sword and shield galloping down the street on his horse looking for trouble.

That's right PM. I have a couple of friends who train in ninjitsu. One of them is a Second Degree Black Belt, and his speciality is throwing stars (although illegal here where I'm at). No one would announce that they are ninjas, otherwise their training in disguises would be pointless. But ninjitsu is more like a combination of karate, jujitsua and weaponry in the modern context.

What Khad meant was that their are societies in Canada which makes padded weapons and armor, and go out in some field and pretend that they are knights and such. Just the Blue and Grey Society in America.

Trained in ninjitsu in Feudal Japan hundreds of years ago, that is now a member of SCA so he rides around a horse in full armor storming castles and rescuing damsels. Gee hybird is busy.
