Ok Every One im back And since im know for my unique threads And my plot twist and bad spelling not to mention humor And Arrogance. Well this new thread is one of my best Ideas I thank.
Ok its Called "The Tao Of Steve" Its a Comical and risqué Thread About A group of Friends Who live By a quasi-philosophy, The Tao of Steve , referring to the ultimate in guy coolness as being a Steve (as in McGarrett - the Jack Lord character of `Hawaii Five-O', Austin, `The Six Million Dollar Man' and McQueen, the coolest actor of all time, or any suave icon down the pike: James Bond, James Dean, et al.) - and the opposite being Stu - and the certain guidelines in wooing the opposite sex wrapping up with his ultimate kwon, `We peruse that which retreats from us.'
The Essence of the Tao Of Steve is fairly basic. They are as fallow.
1. Be desire less (As in repress your desire and lust towards the woman)
2. Be great in front of her (Show your strongest talent in front of her show her how your great)
3. Retreat (With draw pull back in to the desire less Fassod)
Now I have some Pre made Characters and such but there is tones of room for other original characters ;. The thing is though that if you sign on to this I ask you be creative and pay attention to others in the thread show your talent to help create a smart, charming satire on the games men and woman play .
Characters
1. Dex: a self-deprecating part-time kindergarten teacher who attends his ten year college reunion in the dusty oasis of Santa Fe, New Mexico where he is told by stunned classmates at his jarringly gone-to-pot visage that he was like Elvis. `Yeah, well now I'm Fat Elvis,' he says with a hip shake and a smirk. It is here the journey begins into Dex's eventual chipping away at the wall of sardonic intelligence he's built since attending the university. Dex has a certain acquired charm that he attributes to his own quasi-philosophy, The Tao of Steve.
2. Jack:an athletic Ex-Collage Football star turned Journalist He is all so Dex’s best friend and co-creator of the Tao of Steve. Though Jack has pretty much grown up He doesn’t really live by it any more since he got married he’s happy with his life.
3. Diane: jacks wife A beautiful and Smart quick Woman who is a successful Director She is also a very caring person She cares for her husband her older sister and even for her husband’s and heir’s friend Dex.
4. Syd: a fellow alumni from the collage that Jack and Dex went to, who turns out to be one of Dex's apparent number of sexual conquests in which he later learns he cannot recall her at all. She is equally self-effacing, smart and opinionated and naturally proves to be the ultimate love of the loveless (`I love my dog') Dex And to top it off she is Diane’s sister.
5. Stu: the youngest member in the group of friends he’s all so the newest He’s only 21 just out of Collage and still naive. He’s smart, and good-looking but still a little geeky . He reminds Dex of him self at that age So he’s taken Stu under his wing so to speak.
Now any Comments and suggestions are welcomed and apricteated would love for People to join up oh and im also looking for some one to join this thread to play a married woman who is having an affair with dex and I need some one to play her husband.
