Online Poker

<-- Euchre addict.
:D

I do love the game of poker, but more than anything else it needs my focus and I like that once you're in the groove you can almost tune out some of the extraneous madness going on around you. Almost.

I play a little poker. I have dipped my toe into the on-line world of poker, but I do not really trust the whole operation.

JMHO.

Anyone else play?

OH OH OH! (in that Horshack way) I was asking someone today if we could get an online no real money game going - you and Vella came up LOL

Yep. I even win enough to break even. But I can't seem to improve enough to play with the Big Boys, with their ten tables at the same time and making a living of it game.

You were thinking strip poker, weren't you? I might have to pretend I don't know how to play.

I play for free, so I'm not real worried about their operation. The only time I'll ever put money in is if I'm buying into a tournament that can get me a free buy-in elsewhere.

I never want to make a living at it. I love playing and if it ever pays serious dividends then I'll play bigger. ;) I'd love to run across you at a table sometime. The free ones, mind you.

I'm so glad I don't have any addictions as such, they would take away from my Mah Jong time.

I tried playing online blackjack for a while. At first, I won a couple of hundred dollars but then I started losing. After recording the cards being dealt, I concluded the game was not honest and quit playing. I haven't been back since.

I tried playing several months back, but only for a few hours. Didn't see what the big deal was, but I could see how it might be more fun playing with friends. Maybe I should give it another chance. Is there any place better to play than others?

That's the big part of the appeal of euchre for me, as it's a partnered game & I play with my bestest buddy.

I wish folks here played, too, though. I'm not euchre monogamous, after all. ;)

i havent played euchre in forever but i love me a game of online spades through Hardwood. Very awesome company that puts out euchre, spades, solitaire...ect.
online poker? i havent played but i do so vicariously through luckster.

Not interested.....I mean how ya gonna gang bang the host's wife after he's lost his stake?

Imp, I might be persuaded to try my hand at euchre. Bridge too, if there's anyone out there who plays that.

Be warned though. I'm not very good at either.

Coolness! I play at Yahoo!Games -- and you can "learn" with the robots until you feel ready to jump into a "real" game. Lemme know!

Every night, except Tue and Friday. Play with play money with a group of people (same group each night). We also conference call using Skype so we can talk without having to use the chat on the table.

Addicted, no! I can quit anyime I want to. :D

Poker?

Okay Lucky, stand still long enough to be poked!

Love poker, but play with Hubby and the kids.

There is an enormous gap between playing with average players and playing with the "Big Boys." It is possible to make a steady, small income playing against average players. It is an order of magnitude more difficult to make money playing against the Big Boys.

Yeah, I play poker online. I haven't played as faithfully as I used to. God, I played for hours on end. As a matter of fact, I met my SO playing poker online. :D :p

It's funny. It doesn't seem to matter what game it is. We all seem to find some benefit in doing something mindless. Because let's face it, the more you do it the less of your attention it requires. Vella's really been into sudoku lately. I'm diggin' the poker. Mah Johng used to be a serious fetish of mine. I've never played Euchre before but am sure I'd enjoy it. Anything to either remove the monotony or remove the mania.

:)

She showed me the premise and I poked at it for a few but didn't really get hooked. I normally love puzzle games, though, so I think I should give it another shot.

About the only vice I'm not addicted to is gambling. That may explain why I was pretty good at poker back in college. But online and video poker have no appeal for me. There's no social interaction and, worst of all, they deny me my secret weapon for winning, getting everyone else drunk.
