Online foreplay: How much do you like?

Sometimes people surprise me online. (Okay, I realize that isn't exactly a profound revelation. Just bear with me a moment.) One thing that has surprised me more than once has been the kind of fast start that a girl wanted, or at least expected, during playtime.

I mean, I can understand people wanting to go faster as things progress and become hot and heavy, but I've gotten comments like "I'm not in the mood to be teased tonight" (when I thought what I was doing was simply foreplay) or, "Wow, you DO like to take your time" (this after literally the first sentence as we started to play).

Frankly, I would have thought that online playtime would, if anything, require more foreplay, given that so many of the elements of an in-person encounter are missing, or at least much reduced!

Of course things like that don't happen every time, but they occur often enough to make me wonder if there's something that I'm missing. Do people online simply expect less consideration from a partner? Or is it only the randiest of that randy who like to play via electronic means?!

So I thought I'd put it out there.

Ladies? Gents?

Is there a profound difference between what you want or expect online and what you want or expect in person? Is there a profound difference in what you offer?

Enquiring minds, as they used to say, want to know.

I just PM "Brace urself, Bridget...lol "

I never mind that you get my name wrong.

Good question! And, we aren't doing it in ABC... that's a relief!

I don't think all women are ready to jump at the initial PM/IM. As a matter of fact, I've been here long enough to know, there are many of us who prefer that "connection".

I liken it to those that want a one-night stand or a FWB, and those that want something more.

Am I different online than in real life? No, not at all. Things vary in what I want, yes.. but, that is usually after we've established something together. A slow, sensual, tactile lover versus a pull my hair... and well, "brace urself, Bridget" -- but, I want both of them from the same guy. Does that make sense?

So, maybe you're talking to the wrong people, or maybe you aren't clear in what you want from this online thing you've got going on.

That's actually a separate question, BFG. I wasn't talking about "girls who are ready to play from the get-go", but "girls who want to go from zero to sixty in nothing flat", once some kind of play actually starts. I will admit that meeting girls who fell into the former category has also been a surprise to me at times.

Yes, I think there are a lot of people who want to have both aspects of intimacy in their lives - and which we might want on a given day would likely be tricky to predict, at best. This paragraph is a good answer to my question. Thank you.

As to that, I wasn't really complaining about the quality of the interactions I've found in here. As you might expect over a period of about ten years, those have run the gamut: Some have been wonderful, some dreary, a few painful.... but all have been educational. ;)
