I usually do the IM thing. I haven't ventured into a chat room in over a year. I use Yahoo or MSN.

I really, really like the idea of setting up a room to meet in and having a 'get together' of literotica folks. It would be great to chat in something other than a bulletin board.

Whenever I log onto lit chat, it's usually just various people looking for cyber. And I'm looking to get to know somebody, always. It's hard to do that on the chat room, which is why I don't even bother with it anymore.

How can we set up a chat session? Ideas?

We could go to an adult telnet talker or set up a place on icq, irc.
I have only experienced the lit chat room once and the constant messages from the monitors made it very difficult to pay attention to the conversation even in a private room. However we could start there, and set up a passworded room.

I have been on a talker called flirttown www.talker.com then click on flirt town. I am a wiz another private one but I would have to ask permission first.

I believe you can set up private chat rooms in yahoo, msn and aol. I know you can add people to conversations

Creating a room in yahoo is very simple, pick a category and a room name and away you go. You can even make it a private room, although I don't think a private room would be a good idea unless we posted the password on the board.

The other thing I think we'd need to do, is agree that this isn't chat so we can all have a group cybersex session. Of course if thats what you want to do, you can always go private with someone. I just thought it would be nice to be able to say HI in realtime.

Well for me, I am usually online during the day, sometimes in the evenings and hardly ever on the weekends. I work at home most of the time so I have the joy of being able to chat as well. I use yahoo (pa_heys) aim (pheys) msn (pheys@hotmail.com) icq (15403964) but I really like yahoo best I think. No real reason, just do. I use one program to run all of them at once (gaim) and even though it does not do file transferes it works really well on my linux computer. If I need to do file transferes I can always log in with normal yahoo to do those.

Other than that, I sometimes use IRC, but not that much anymore.

And yes, the little indicator in my signature line really does show my yahoo status correctly.

Count me in, depending on the timing.

I took a whack at the Lit Chat function earlier and found it both annoying and revolting. The constantly scrolling IDs made conversation impossible (for me at least) and there was just way too much of the hot M23 looking for a ht F for my taste.

There seem to be two chats on lit, a moderated literotica one and an unmoderated literotica board chat. I have been on the general one, and unless you are in a room and shut off outsiders it is still a bit annoying when you get the moderater announcements.
