I prefer to lose my money in an atmosphere if smoke, liquor, clinky-clink noises from the slots -- in short, in a real casino. It loses something online.

Yes I have and don't I repeat don't play with real money. It is hard to find an online casino that pays you the money you have won. Your best bet when playing with real money online is to call the better business bureau and find out if there has been problems with them paying out.
I go on quite a few(and you would think I gamble enough at work) and I like alot of them but I strictly play with funny money. One of my favs is Casino on net.
