One wish to a genie

'K, it's been a looong time since I've been around, but I was a regular at one time so I'm not a newbie. I'm back 'cause I have a question, for a story.


Especially for subs, but, if you had an item that could give you one minor magical power, something that might enhance your and/or your Dom/Domme's experience, what might you like to have?

The premise is of a secret ability, a power, handed down within a BDSM community. What might that be? An increase to pain tolerance? Or a decrease in tolerance? Heightened emotional reactions? An ability to perceive your partner's experience simultaneously with your own? Increased flexibility or physical endurance so your Dom/me could do more with you?

What would you ask your genie to gift you with?

If you had posited a premise for a thread asking "What would you wish for (given it being attributable to the BDSM niche)?" and nothing more, I wouldn't be saying anything.

The trouble is, you started out saying "This is for a story."

Since you aren't, as you claim, a noobie, then you should well know there is a story ideas thread where people can be asked their opinions for what would make a story work. Especially when you bring up "magical powers." Generally speaking, I don't think people into BDSM are any more specially suited to handling questions about magical powers, opposed to a bunch of creative writers who totally gronk on those types of questions.

I just think you would get more purposeful answers if you directed your question in the appropriate forum section.

I read one story, maybe on Lit, long ago where the Dom could stop time and then unfreeze specific people of his choosing. He walked through his city, picked out women that he found interesting, unfroze them, and made them into his subs, with varying degrees of success. Eventually he had a little troupe following him through the streets. The premise was interesting, but I had difficulties with the non-consent part of it since the women had no choice in the matter.

And a Tardis would be cool, but in a story there might be copyright issues, thought there's probably fan fiction options.

Mine would not be bdsm specific. I suspect a lot of people's might not be. Time, resources, good health are all things that spring to mind as being things among which might be the 'magic' answer that are missing for many relationships, regardless of kink or not. What ever other wish is granted, with key foundations like those feeling wanting it feels the wish cannot be fully appreciated.

That's an interesting premise by itself; someone thinks some magic discovered will solve their relationship issues, but fails.


I guess another way for me to search this, if I wanted to stay BDSM connected, is to start with things that the experienced might already have heightened experience with or knowledge of; boundaries, sensations, endorphins, then think about what where an extension, or how a form of magic might take a person from zero to one hundred at the snap of a finger.

If a Dom had the ability to turn off a sub's sight, or hearing, one could play with all kinds of vulnerability. And then if the ability was used only by a small group of Doms because they have the self-control to not abuse it, but, then, there's one weak link ...

This is a very nice mind exercise. You have me thinking now.

Another idea - what if the Dom could project the scenario into the sub's mind so that everything the sub experiences is of the Dom's design? A virtual reality experience of sorts. The Dom could use anything that he had available to enhance the experience but make the sub see it and experience it as whatever he wanted it to be.
