If I were POTUS, I would impose a blockade on Israel. Not an embargo, a blockade -- nothing goes in or out, by land, sea or air. To be lifted only when Israel agrees to ANNEX the OTs and confer FULL VOTING ISRAELI CITIZENSHIP on the Palestinians, with representation in the Knesset. Call it "Operation Shotgun Wedding."

A one-state solution is the only solution that makes sense. It is the only solution that allows the Jewish settlements to remain where they are -- if Palestine were independent, the IDF could no longer guarantee their safety. It is the only solution that forestalls endless border disputes -- note that the Wall is in many places well to the east of the Green Line, and no two-state settlement is going to make THAT problem go away. Most importantly, it is the only solution that transcends and rejects nationalism -- in both its Zionist and Palestinian forms. Fuck nationalism.

Let me get this right. You want 2 million plus added terrorists in Israel? Why just say you want the total annihilation of the Jewish people.

This would turn Israel into another Lebanon—a non-Muslim state held-hostage by a fundamentalist Muslim militia.

"Terrorists"? They're just the people who always lived there. ALWAYS -- they're descended from the ancient Israelites (as well as the Canaanites and Philistines). DNA studies show they're closely related to the Jews. They are not Arab interlopers who came in after Mohammed's time.

And they'll lose all interest in terrorism, Hamas, Hezbollah and all, if they can just vote. All they want is to live where they live, in freedom. The status quo really IS like SA under Apartheid, and a one-state solution is no more frightening or regrettable than ending Apartheid.

That suggests Hamas would have more military power than it has now. It wouldn't. Remember, also, that every platoon in the IDF would now be full of Palestinian conscripts -- taking orders from the Israeli government, not from Hamas.

Attention Jewish-Americans: Israel is not your country. You should never allow any sense of loyalty to Israel to affect your voting or your politics -- when you do that, you are only giving truth to the old antisemitic lie about the "International Jew," who cannot be trusted because he is not really loyal to the country he lives in.

Israel is a liberal democracy in a part of the world where intolerance and totalitarianism are the norm. Support for Israel isn’t just tribalism. Having Israel as an ally is good for America.

You're missing what history and current events are broadcasting in plain English, Hebrew, Arabic, etc.: democracy is rare there because it doesn't work there. It didn't work there millennia ago when the Israelites named it Israel.
To be fair, that was many centuries before any form of democracy was invented.

When they had the right to vote, guess who they voted in? You forget, they voted for HAMAS!!

Exterminate Hamas, exterminate Hezbollah, exterminate what remains of the PLO. Now you've got a one-state solution.

Yeah -- but that one state is Israel, with a voteless, occupied subject population of Palestinians. That solves nothing, they'll just form new rebel organizations. South Africa's problems never could have been solved by destroying the African National Congress.

Actually you're full of shit.

How, exactly?
How about as VP, helped Obama ship pallets of $100 bills that had been frozen by the previous 2 administrations, one dem and one republican. Then as President, he again shipped billions that Trump had frozen, so the Mullahs could fund worldwide terrorism.

If the Palestinians are enfranchised, Israel will be a pluralistic rule-of-law democracy with a Muslim minority.

It will not become any less of one because demographic changes eventually give it a Muslim majority.

Gaza is currently not a rule-of-law democracy. Why do you think the Palestinian Arabs would vote any differently if they took over control of Israel?

Because then they could participate in a rule-of-law democracy, which they cannot in their present colonized status.

It really is just like South Africa, and the only workable solution is the same as it was there.

The Gazans themselves chose Hamas to be in charge. If Israel had controlled Gaza in 2006 they would not have picked a genocidal terrorist organization to manage the territory.

Consider their present situation. Of course they're going to vote for the party that promises to destroy Israel, they would be insane to vote for anything else.
