I have just completed a short story and am hoping to find one or more 'reaction givers' to help me. No full-blown beta readers required.
I have a number of writer friends on this site who, like myself, do not post their stories publicly but instead share newly-produced items around the group for comment. Normally this suits my purposes very well but this particular tale falls considerably outside my usual areas of interest in dealing with a specific taboo subject which this site does not handle.
My friends have duly made their comments and I think I could have predicted what has been said. Exceptionally, I think I need to cast my net a touch wider. I do not need lengthy commentary/observations/suggestions. Simple indications of whether it is thought enjoyable or not - together possibly with a very brief summary of what in particular produced this reaction - would be enough.
