So it was another one of those good news bad news days in work today. The good news was I rode the bike in so arrived with a smile on my face. The bad news was we were running 2 Aides and 4 R.N.'s with 30 patients.

Okay this was doable, then I found out who one of my R.N.'s was. She is truly a strange one. Book wise and technicly she is great. Smart and knows what she is doing with medicine. Personaly though she is a few face cards short. She thinks it is her duty to find additional things for the Aides to do. A good example of this was today. Of her 8 patients 7 of them were receiving blood. I was running back and forth to the lab to get the blood as well as doing the vital signs on these patients for each unit. This along with taking care of the rest of my patients.

Good news was the family member of one of my patients came in. I have dealt with her in the past and enjoy talking with her. She is about six feet tall, shaves her head and has a body that just doesn't know the word quit. She sees me in the hall, walks up and gives me a hug and kiss in greeting (Whew)

The came some humor. Several of the others in the hospital ride. Of these one rides a Ducati and the rest ride Harleys. One of these, an older guy parked his bike alongside mine in the garage. The rest parked their bikes as far away from mine as they could. They approached the other guy and asked him why he would park next to me and he told them that my riding skill was so much better than theirs, and that my bike had proved itself while theirs were in and out of the shop.

By the end of the day my feet hurt and I was more than ready for some ride therapy. I grabbed my jacket from my locker and strolled out to the bike. I geared up, fired up the bike and headed out. As I rolled out the gate I gave the gaurd there a wave and started for home. I shifted over to Rt. 1 and headed north with absolutely incredible luck. I was hitting the lights perfectly and had managed to find an empty slot on the road so I never had to touch the brakes the entire way home. We're talking an almost perfect ride.

All in all one of those days.
