I understand. I thought perhaps you just needed a single part replaced. They do sometimes reach the point where it's either not worth replacing or where everything that you have is so out of date that you can't even find the replacement part you need readily.

As settled as I ever get. No jet lag I don't thing, only four hour flight and more or less just south so no time zone issues, though my phone added an hour anyway...

I haven't gotten to watch the videos yet, since right now I'm hardly ever using my laptop to view your thread these days, but I loves these stills. The blue looks so good on you, and I think that there is a tease aspect, for lack of a better explanation that is oh-so-appealing (please forgive my loss for words here; I'm both pre-coffee and pre-shower as I write this, so my brain isn't up to full speed yet. Of .course, my brain tends to go a little fuzzy when it comes to you anyway...it's just a little fuzzier than usual.)

Ball pythons actually are notoriously shy...probably worse than you, but at least I can sneak up on him when he's not looking. I have posted a pic of Loki in the past, but I have pictures of both that I can PM you if you would like to see them. I actually just snapped a really cool picture of Loki, he's still fairly young and doesn't seem to be aware of the fact that he's not arboreal. He just had a huge meal and found a place to hang out that takes the pressure off his stomach...or something. He's a goof.

The gecko's name is stumpy...if I send you pics it will make more sense, though her name doesn't suit her quite as well anymore. When I got her she had dropped her tail and just had a little stump on her bum. It's grown back quite nicely now though. I buy most of her bugs and refuse to breed crickets. They're not native to Alaska...and I'm guessing not native to your area either so I'm not used to listening to them and the sound drives me up the frigging wall.

We don't have crickets but we do have grasshoppers and katydids. They make similar noises but rarely loud enough to be annoying.

I do breed her meal worms for her though.

I guess those are easier to handle. And supposedly fit for human consumption too.

I'll have more to say about the other, earlier pictures later when I have a few more minutes, but I just want to say how I love the .look of the red lamp photos with the color stripped out. It's very grainy, and has an almost infrared film look to it. Very visually interesting.

Of course, it goes without saying how visually interesting I find the subject matter under any lighting.

I was just visiting your thread and admiring your work. You have a great and varied talent. It's evident that you really do put a part of you into everything that you create instead of just mass producing "stuff" for the sake of saying that you've made something.

I make jewelry...nothing very impressive...but I will often carry a single stone around with me for weeks at a time waiting for it to speak to me and teach me what it needs to be turned into.

It was pretty neat in person, it's a shame it doesn't always come out through the camera's eye.

I appreciate that you took the time to visit my thread, it's not much, just things I felt compelled to associate myself with.

I totally understand, and can relate to carrying things around with you until they speak to you. It is how a lot of my works come into being, and also why I've not been active with it in awhile. I'm waiting for inspiration....which eludes me. I would love to see some of your work.
