Two things.
1) Who is your fave one-hit wonder. I don't mean in terms of tackiness. I mean, who is the one hit wonder you are most disappointed was a one hit wonder.
I thought about this for a while and although Nada Surf was the early frontrunner Harvey Danger wins by a landslide. Not so much that I really liked them(Although Save it For Later was a good song) I am genuinely surprised they didn't follow it up with anything more than a weak 80's cover from a crappy movie soundtrack. "Popular", for all it's brilliance, was a novelty song.
2) I was 10 when the 80's ended. I didn't know the decade. But, now that we see more and more 80's nostalgia(Doug Kenney is rolling over in his grave, so the coked up hippie chick is on the bottom now) we see more and more Flock of Seagulls Haircuts. Was this really a common look? Did you really see it a lot?
