Way back when in my youth, Joe Walsh and the James Gang would play the bars at OSU. What I remember of it anyway. Your correct in that hes underrated. He also added an edge to the Eagles

Aye how ya doin

we share the same birthday. He is cool just an ordinary average guy.

The other most overlooked in my estimation is Neil Young.
My fave for sure!

Hee. Joe is pretty amazing, especially for being such a burnout. Ever seen him on Drew Carey? He is the burned out guitarist.

Father Niel. God bless him.

Keep on rockin' in the free world. :)

Joe rocks!Very talented guy.Great on his own,yet disciplined enough to be a perfect fit for the Eagles.

Neil is awesome too!

I don't know if CSN&Y are still on tour.I saw them here in Minneapolis 6 weeks ago.Lots of Neil.Heart of Gold,Old Man,Cinnamon Girl,Harvest Moon,Let's Roll,Keep on Rockin' in the Free World & more. They were great!

I had seen Joe in concert in about 1990 at a small club here.
He was burned out and it was a sloppy show. Went back to the club months later for another act. Was talking with the owner and he said Joe was the worst concert he had there. Claims to have paid him $20k and supply endless amounts of Vodka. My assumption is he took the stage after too much Absolute.
I still think he he produced some good tunes.

Life of Illusion is probably one of my faves by him.

As for Neil geez where do I begin on how this guys music impacted me. I kind of a late bloomer. I first heard him when Rust Never Sleeps came out and thought, who the fuck is this? Where did it come from raunchy on one side and soft acoustic on the other. What a concept. Ever since I have immersed myself in whatever he is involved in. Have seen him in concert in various incarnations since 1982.
As Eddie Vetter said while inducting him into the RNR Hall "I'm glad he is still with us". He still produces relevant music.

You can still be a great artist despite drug /Alcohol addiction

Daddy says not now, son
Ya just do the best ya can
You'll make out some, son
Be just like I am....

Just like I am.

Wasn't Joe on Drew Carey pretty regularly? I thought that was him jamming with Little Richard at one point. Very odd combo, but interesting to see.

I don't watch a lot of TV. I know it's anti-american, but I don't watch much television.

If I were cuddling on a couch with a female, I might learn.

Alas, I am a single fuck. One misses a lot that way.

I watch network TV, but mostly PBS (we have two channels locally). I do catch the late night stuff like Charlie Rose, Letterman, or a sitcom re-run.

If you're a fan of Joe Walsh you should find that episode where Joe and Little Richard jam in Drew's living room.

He was also in Drew's Ramada Inn band I do believe. Drew played accordion.

Joe Walsh is god.

LOL

I just admire the dude as an artist. I liked his music.
