one bombs, five's and owt in-between?

I was wondering, as usual, I live in a perpetual state of wonder, nice place, too many cats though...

But, if a story is floating well in terms of scores, say 4.62... 78 votes, and around 19000 views? To drop to 4.55 with one or two votes... Do 1's hit as much as 5's? What I mean is in terms of overall impact?

It seems that Trolly hits and scores drop hugely. Bugger it.

The good news is troll votes are generally removed within a couple weeks.
