I enjoy the welcome to Lit threads, it is a good way to welcome posters and introduce ourselves to them.
However, I think there should be a requirement that the new folks post a self portait with these "welcome" threads. That does not necessarily mean a picture of themselves, but a graphical representation. Much like our av's. I think that would be most helpful and colorful!
