No, not that pill.

A pill that causes a body metamorphosis from one gender to the other. Effects last 48 hours or so. Mind stays intact for the most part, but there is some mixing and confusion as to what happens during the switch. Maybe some mild amnesia, but not total memory loss.

Idea based on an old TV movie with Tim Daly (Wings) and Sean Young; Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde

In the movie, the change was uncontrolled. In the story, the subject would initiate it by taking the pill, but wouldn't always be exactly sure when the effect would wear off, leaving the possibility of some unexpected encounters.

Lots of ways you could go with this. In fact, it would be a great concept for a "story contest" where you challenge different writers to run with it, and see where they all go.

My first thought is a super-spy who is a master of disguise. By changing into a woman, completely anatomically correct, he can fool anyone.

If 1995 is an "old" movie, then I chortle that I thought at first you were referencing the "Carol Burnett & Friends" skit of the exact same name and and similar effects (though it was a potion, not a pill) back in the 1970s.

Guess writers in Hollywood really do just recycle all the same ideas 20 years apart....

On the idea itself...I agree, it would make a good contest, yes. Depending entirely on how serious (or not) of a tone each writer wanted to adopt, the different takes would be far and wide on that one. :)

Wouldn't it be best to incorporate a little more from the original Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde? The pill brings out a guy's inner-woman or a girl's inner-man, allowing them to do all the things as the other gender they always wanted to. Of course, as it's used more and more, it becomes harder and harder to turn back...

I did a sex-shifting story series, first part here: http://www.literotica.com/s/diaries-of-a-sexshifter-pt-01. However, there were two personalities, not one.
