On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...NOTHING, because there is no true love in my life right now.

So, what did you get for Christmas that you care to share with the rest of us. Anything kinky? Did you cook? Did you eat? Did you drive a long distance? How was the weather? Spill it, folks. How was your day?

12 hour drive....in rain and fog. Had to stop for the night much to the chagrin of the two teens in tge car. Cooked full on breakfast and working on dinner. Just boiled ver the glaze for the ham. Anyone know how to get mollassescandy off a electric range top ?
Good grief!
Merry Christmas DVS and fellow Listers.

Merry Christmas!

^_^ Mister gave me a snack bag of chocolate covered pretzels. I have him some cheap robot shaped ornaments. We agreed not to do presents this year. We'll have a date night at our favorite restaurant as a present for each other.

We drove an hour to see family and the weather was raining and chilly. All of the adults this year agreed on cheap gifts so nobody broke the bank. I received homemade vanilla extract and my husband got a box of batteries with "gift not included" written on the box. It was really cute and we had a good time.

I hope everyone had a fun holiday!

Dinner only. I cooked-- ham, green beans, sweet potatos, potato salad. There is comfort in tradition. Half of my family moseyed on over arriving around four-ish-- the other contingent was at home sick, poor baby. Luckily, as DVS points out, Christmas lasts twelve days. :)

I got a vintage paisley shirt from the mid seventies, the kind you wear with sideburns and a really stupid moustache I love it!

My son got a russian hat from Russia, lined with grey lambswool-- where the hell will he wear that in SoCal? But he has a collection of them, so it's okay.

My daughter got a necklace, made by my mother in the eighties-- enamelled elements on a delecate chain. A friend brought it around, saying that she should have one of her grandmother's pieces. It's a true herloom piece and she was speechless. Whatever I have said about my mother-- she was one hell of an artist.

My father made it clear that he wanted NO presents. But he pigged out on the food. I liked that. :)

Mr. Omega and I exchanged timid but heartfelt wishes for the coming year.

I pretty much tracked my Christmas here and here.

J gave me a book, but he had hidden it and left me a bunch of riddles to solve to find out where it is. I gave J a book as well and a box of fancy chocolates to go with the fancy port he got from a client.

We spent the day just the two of us doing nothing special. My parent gave both of us new PJs and knitted woollen socks, so that's what we wore the whole day. As a Christmas movie this year we rewatched Home Alone and a Christmas episode of the Community.

Good food was had, new books were read and boardgames were played. It was a lovely day, but didn't really differ from our usual weekend all that much, except for the few gifts we got and the Christmas theme of the movie. And that's exactly how I want to celebrate Christmas. :)

I just spent the evening with my siblings. Yes, it was a bit of a chore, but it was worth it. We had Lasagna, garlic bread, a cranberry/apple/cherry jelloish salad, and cherry pie. I LOVE lasagna and cherry pie. The other stuff was OK, too. I survived, and that's really all that's necessary, when talking about a day with my siblings.:rolleyes:

For Christmas I got to go to work which will be the same for New Years. After work I came home and went to bed the got up and did it all over again the next day.

I got nothing but the damnable demon cat got some tuna.

I know this routine quite well. until I got out of the industry, I worked security for many years. Like police, ambulance workers, hospital workers, etc., security works holidays. I worked Christmas, Thanksgiving day and New Years eve and day. In fact, unless a holiday came on your normal day off, you worked. It's not something you complain about, because it's part of the job. But, it does disrupt your life to the point you are on a different wave length from the rest of the world.

Because of this, there is sometimes little celebration or subdued celebration, because many times you are celebrating alone, or with a small group of people who have chosen to live on the same wave length. Like the night shift, it's a part of humanity that ticks when others tock.

I cooked Christmas day and Boxing day and the day after: with a vast extended family full of ghastly aunties and spiteful in laws and unjustifiably proud parents of, under the circumstances, remarkably normal children, it's a great way of being completely sociable whilst totally ignoring everyone. If you think of replicating this trick don't forget to move all the alcohol out of the kitchen before you begin and it does help if you can cook.

I was given a book called Bonk. To update a section; how about a dildo with USB camera and LED illumination in the nosepiece? And the bit about intercourse in an MRI scanner makes for interesting reading.

PS flaming the Christmas pudding with the super strong Stroh rum was a bit more dramatic than I was expecting, probably not something you want to replicate. If you like pyromaniacal rum and don't know what a Zuckerhut is, however, do investigate; a fabulous Boxing day treat, thank you Deutschland and Österreich.

I had to cancel all my plans due to sickness. What did I do that day? I sat on the couch, something I was too sick to do the day before. I was able to eat a little and even keep my eyes open. It was a good day.

Presents included a new computer track ball, a few DVD's and CDs and some other stuff. A $100 amazon gift card allowed me to get the movie I once saw on the late, late, show that pinged my D/s nature early on. It's hard to find. Also some books, a cd and two vhs tapes, one for me and one for a friend that are also hard to find.

Master gave me a tattoo. Not on me, I'm not allowed any more, but one on him, of a daisy.
That was pretty much the only present I received this year.
The big day over to my parents. Ate too much and got moaned at for not eating enough.

Average year.
