The same thing happens with the Playground and the Lit Personals forums.

It is due to the Cafe being treated as a subdirectory of the Talk forum. In other words, being a subset, when a post is made in the Cafe it is by default also in the Talk.

The only way to stop this from happening would be for the Cafe to be granted it's own seperate directory from the Talk, which would probably mess up things a lot more in dealing with the links and stuff behind the scenes than just accepting this and living with it.

But feel free to try and get the change enacted.

Yeah its annoying, but not enough for me to start a petition. Since RR did, I'll throw my vote on it. It would be nice if it could be fixed. Chances are it won't as its under the Talk forum.
