on-line meetings

I am going to be meeting a friend from online in January. We have been talking about a year and two months.
I am nervous, but excited also.

I don't have any real advice other than to go for it. Meet in a neutral area and go from there if you aren't sure about it.

Good luck, sweetie

It is up to the two people involved.

I feel comfortable meeting people fairly quickly, a month or two.

Then, there have been times I have waited a year or more.

It just depends.

Whatever you do, just be yourself on line and off line.

There is no point to putting on pretenses if it is someone you really like, or at all for that matter.

As well as what BgMma99 says, you might consider chatting live on web cam first.

That's a pretty certain way to tell that the person in the pic is the person you're talking to.

Otherwise, it's whenever it feels right to you. I've met 6 people from online, and it's been just fine.

With one of them, it's been way more than fine, and we've met twice - and hopefully will be meeting many more times.

how long should you wait before meeting somebody on-line?

2 days is industry standard... But 5 days is so fucking money.
