I want to thank those who have sent me feedback on my stories. Of the dozen or so comments I have received, however, only one of you mentioned the story you'd read.

So try to remember that Literotica doesn't refer to the specific story when it forwards feedback. You have to do it. That way if you read more than one of a given author's stories and have different opinions on them, the writer can figure out what works and what should be changed.

Thanks again!!

Are you sure about that?

Something like this always appears on the top left hand corner of every feedback we get.

If they click on your email from your profile page, the author won't see the story (or chapter) that the reader is referring to unless the reader states it themselves in the email.

Also, this is a real problem for those that turn off the anonymous email feature. If you turn it off, there is no option at all within the story itself to send email to the author. The only way to do it is to click on the author's name from their profile page. I turned mine off one time for a day before I realized that the reader no longer had the option to send feedback from the story itself. They were forced to go to the profile page to access a method to send me feedback.

I just attempted to change my options so that I would not receive anonymous email as a test. The feature is not allowing me to say "no" that I don't want anonymous feedback now. I know this worked in the past. But it is not working for me at the moment while I try to test this. I did click to save the options. But when I log back in it still shows "yes". Very weird.

with some of my stories i've noticed that the story isn't mentioned in the feedback. i assume it's just a tiny bug...

true that when you go from the profile page it isn't going to mention the story, but sometimes, SOMETIMES, it doesn't work the regular way.

I disable anonymous feedback as a matter of course. I'd rather not get feedback if somebody is too fainthearted to leave a name.

If it makes it impossuble to know which story they have read, then I'llhave to put up with it.

It would be nice if the programmer could change the code on the feedback function to to just require that the user enter their email address (if "allow anonymous" is set to "no") instead of taking the function completely away from the story.

I realize that a reader could enter a fake address if they wanted to, but they can do that even now. I can understand the desire of some authors wanting someone to "sign" their comments by supplying and email address. Turning off the anonymous feature though takes the whole feedback function away from the reader at the story level.

Yes, but it's only a click or two farther if sending it is important enough to the reader. I know I don't mind. Also, I never send anonymous feedback.
