Eh? Listening to right wing talk radio again? There is no comparison between AC and HD. HD doesn't spout evil disguised as rhetoric, using made up facts to do so. However, if you want to compare Ann Coulter to Rev Wright, I'd give you that one - the difference being that at least Rev. Wright is fighting for the best interests of the oppressed, while Ann Coulter is fighting for the best interests of the oppressors.

Here in Tucson, we pied Ann Coulter in 2004 at a public appearance. As I recall, the culprits got off with probation, although the spin from the right wing was that it was attempted murder.

ETA: The two students who pied her claimed to belong to a terrorist group called Al Pieda.

In 2005, the local morning paper dropped Coulter's column. But they've kept several of the other right wing windbags, including Jonah Goldberg, Kathleen Parker and George Will, so it's not like the conservatives are getting shut out. On the contrary, the right wing dominates the Sunday edition, where no liberal point of view is published to counter Will's Sunday column, (other than in letters to the editor.)

I didn't particularly care about Coulter. Until the day she said that the First Amendment didn't apply to liberals.

I got to dislike her more when she bashed the widows of 9/11 for using their husband's deaths for their own political gain.

When I heard she'd wished Timothy McVeigh had parked his bomb outside the New York Times rather than the Alfred P. Murragh building, well, I knew she was an absolutely evil person.
