This highlights a something that is confusing about the gay world. I have encountered a number of people who have lived as gays for a long time, but then decided that they were straight. I'm not trying to say anything about the relative gayness or straightness of anyone, but when the people who do judge gay as wrong hear the same stories, it amps them up to convert gay people back to straight.

Some gay people say that they were gay all of their lives. I can believe that.

But I think that it would be good to steer the conversation toward a rational position, that there are people who have gender identity issues and that they need to figure those things out by themselves.
