I'd say hi at malls, stores, pools, lakes wherever. A nice smile and a great hello have always been good to break the ice. Be a little bold and give someone your number. Sometimes guys are afraid of appearing too bold .

The best thing is to just be yourself. Give people a chance to get to know you. Remember with the experience that older men have some of it they have gotten thru being hurt.

a bus trip sounds nice..I hear it goes anywhere..
Maybe it would make a stop in east Texas.
