Based on some rather negative feedback in other communities, I feel the need to preface this with a little about the story I'm writing.
Preface: This story is basically supposed to be fluff mixed with erotica. It is not the next great American novel. I'm not trying to do that. My premise is silly, it's not fully realistic, but it's supposed to be fun. That's it.
Background: My story takes place on an island nation where consensual slavery is the norm. Nova Insula, was founded about 100 years ago by sexual outcasts looking for a land of true sexual freedom to live out their BDSM utopia in peace. Masters and slaves are voluntary social classes. When people reach age 18 they enter an exploritory period where they try out occupations and roles and then 98% of society becomes either an Owner or a slave. This is considered a totally normal arrangement and slaves treat it like a career. i'd happily answer more about this but that's the gist.
The Characters:The backstory of these two characters I'm develop goes like this:
Breonna Diamond was a 20-something black woman in Brooklyn with not much going on. She was adrift without much of a career or family and friends. In a time of desperation she worked for one of those "Hire a sexy maid to clean your apartment" services. She is very forward, sarcastic, and funny. People like her but she has never quite fit in.
Leonard "Lenny" Lahr was a 40-something white chef with not much going on. He also felt like he was in a rut in his life and had very few prospects or friends. He's a brusque, sarcastic, bombastic kind of guy. He's not great at maintaining friendships.
Lenny hires Breonna in a particularly low point. He finds her incredibly attractive and begins to take a liking to her. He keeps hiring Breonna, and eventually, they start to chat, and then bicker, and then laugh, and one day, Breonna turns the tables on Lenny (This is where I was told my porn was too porny, which I would understand if I weren't writing porn) They both find they love this, and they eventually see each other outside the hired maid service context. They get married (maybe?) and move to Nova Insula and meet the rest of my characters.
Their dynamic involves a lot of humiliation and teasing, though Lenny sometimes becomes a slight brat to his young Mistress.
He also has a job cooking part-time at the brothel, where most of this story takes place.
Breonna is friends with the owner (one of my main characters) and has a slight crush on him. He is something of a dominant mentor to her.
I don't know a lot about Femdom because it's not my main area. But I feel like I've written too many Maledom relationships in this world, and I need to branch out.
My questions:
What sorts of stuff might these two get up to?
What hurdles might they face?
What should I explore more deeply? What kinds of rules does Lenny have? What questions do I need to answer?
Does anybody have good resources for a dynamic similar to this? Old and young with the younger being the dominant?Could be literature, could be porn, could be real life. Gender and race are unimportant in this instance.
Any guideance would be great. I do this writing to have fun and challenge myself so if you really dislike the concept, please just move on to another thread.
