Marley Crist
College Freshman
Softball Player & Education Major
5'4, 120 lbs, tan and athletic, blonde hair, green eyes, 36c breasts

The sun was shining brightly across the campus as Marley stepped from the building. Students rushed by as they headed for classes, study sessions, tests... Wherever they needed to be. Marley glanced at the time on her phone and groaned.

She was gonna be late for batting practice. All because her professor couldn't tell time, apparently. Hiking her backpack higher on her shoulder she set off at a jog towards the cages.

It wasn't even softball season yet, only October, but apparently college coaches were way more serious about practice than high school... And it showed. Their team had been second in the nation for the last two years... But they were gonna be first this year.

Marley was the only starting freshman on the team as catcher. They had an amazing team lined up.

As she jogged towards the batting cages Marley saw the football team was practicing as well. She mentally rolled her eyes. HE was out there. The other hometown hero- their star quarterback from high school. Apparently he had made a big impression here at college as well... All the girls were throwing themselves at him.

Except for Marley.

To her he was nothing but an arrogant asshole. Nothing more.

Shaking the thoughts from her head she continued on to practice- she needed to focus on herself, not him.

Evan McCarty
College Freshman
QB on Football Team
Undeclared Major
6'3", 220 lbs, tan, athletic, brown hair, brown eyes.

Evan walked off the practice field, toweling the sweat off his face. It was warm for October, and it had been an intense practice. He was being red-shirted, so his freshman season would consist of throwing passes in practice and trying to impress the coaches with his work ethic. The Senior QB, Dave Lawrence was surely headed to the NFL, Evan wanted to follow in his footsteps.

Coach Parker told him his offical duties this year were to learn the playbook, stay in shape, and build a relationship with his teamates, and oh yeah, keep up his academic eligibility (wink, wink)

Evan was interested in all of those things, but also attending parties and building relationships with all these college girls. He always seemed to draw attention from the ladies, but now it is different. He grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere, but here at State, they practically threw themselves at him. Not just college girls, a couple of female professors, and even a secretary in the Athletic administration dept. He WAS an attractive guy, he thought to himself with a smile.

As he walked to the lockers, he looked over and saw the softball team starting to practice. He wondered about Marley Crist, who also came from his smalltown home. She was a softball player, right? She made no secret of her distaste for him. Maybe she was intimidated, maybe she was bitter that Girl's sports took a backseat to football, maybe the fact that she dated his friend Kirk, also a football player and that relationship ended badly. Maybe she was just a bitch.

Evan thought he should at least try to make freinds with her, after all, when Sports Illustrated came to write the big story about him a couple years, they might want to quote an old high school friend who is also an athlete at State. That made him laugh just thinking about it.

"Hey, EV, good job on those curl routes today" Ty Wilson, a freshman wide receiver came up and smacked Evan on the ass. "dude, why you looking at the Softball team? The Cheerleaders are OVER there!" He pointed and they both stood and admired the cheer squad for a few moments.

Marley had a great session of hitting and then got a chance to practice throwing runners out at second- not that she really needed practice in either, but it never hurt. Marley was an excellent player and had a full ride scholarship because of softball, her parents' dream come true.

After practice, the starting left fielder, a junior named Zoe, came trotting over, her short black hair ruffled and messy from the hot practice.

"Hey girl, there's a party tonight at one of the Junior's apartments. I've been invited, you wanna come along?"

Marley thought about it and then nodded. "Sure, sounds great" she said, ready to let loose and have a few drinks.

"Wear something cute, I'll meet you at your dorm at 9!" Zoe called over her shoulder as she trotted off to the locker rooms.

Marley decided to skip the locker rooms as just head to the dorm to shower. She had about two hours til she had to meet Zoe, just enough time. She went into the bathroom and scrubbed off the dirt from the days practice. When she was done she blew dry her hair so that it framed her pretty face, and then, wrapped in a towel, headed back to her room.

At 9oclock sharp, Zoe beat on her door. Marley had just finished putting on a short denim skirt, a belly-baring black silk tank top that also showed a good amount of cleavage and some heels. She answered the door to a grinning Zoe.

"Let's rock, freshman!" Zoe chimed and they head out together.

After a shower, Evan and Ty went to the cafeteria for lunch and then back to their dorm room. They were becoming good friends, even though they only met a few weeks ago. An unlikely friendship, Ty was a black kid from the streets of Chicago, Evan was from rural small town white kid, but something clicked.
When they got back to the room, Ty took his usual post-practice nap. Evan went to the student lounge to study. Unlike most of his teammates he was actually serious about academics. If this whole football thing didn't work out, he wants the study medicine, a fact that he only shared with his parents and guidance counselors, if he told anyone else, they would probably laugh at him. Ever since he first showed signs of athletic skill, people labelled him a "dumb jock" he wanted to prove them all wrong.
When he returned to his room two hours later, Ty was on the phone talking to someone about a party that night. They checked their texts and voice messages and dscovered that between them, they had been invited to 5 parties that evening - gotta love college life.
"Let's hit them all, see which one has the coldest beer and the hottest girls." Evan suggested.
"And whoever gets the fewest phone numbers has to buy lunch tomorrow."
Ty laughed at that idea "I'm NOT getting into that contest with the Golden Boy! But you can always buy me lunch."

Marley and Zoe arrived to the apartment housing the party within ten minutes. Already students were filing in and out of the building. They walked up the two flights of stairs and into the thick of the partying. Beers were flowing freely, music thumped all throughout the party, people chatted and played drinking games and others still danced on a makeshift dance floor in the living room.

The cheerleaders were there, and surrounded by guys, but several men also flocked to Marley and Zoe as they walked in. Athletes of any gender were a big draw there. Immediately they were handed beers.

Marley sipped on hers and began chatting with a few people she had class with. She was facing the front door and nearly groaned when she saw him walk in. Two of the girls with her squealed beneath their breath.

"Evan! Oh my god!!! He's so cute". Marley rolled her eyes.

"I'm going to get another beer" she said before walking away. She dodged several drunks tryin to hit on her and made it to the keg-much to her dismay- at the same time as Evan.

"Wonderful" she muttered as she walked up and waited for him to get his beer.

Evan was pouring himself a beer when he spied Marley out of his peripheral vision. He pretended not to notice her, he'd already had a few and was in no mood for her.
He leaned against the bar and chatted with some guys and flirted with some girls, being his normal charming self. He could feel her glaring at him the whole time. Why did she hate him?
Suddenly a cute redhead walked up to him, and in a loud intoxicated voice said "HHHEEEYYYY, are yuoooo on the fooball teeeeam?" He smiled and replied "hi, yes, I'm Evan.". She yelled "hi Ev--" Then she stumbled forward, losing her balance and proceeded to spill her beer all over him and his brand new shirt and jeans. She also fell into him, pressing her ample chest against him. He stood there with a look on his face the was a mixture of astonishment, arousal, and annoyance. Red's girlfriend came over, took her by the hand and whisked her away, mouthing Evan a silent "SORRY" along with a wink and a smile.
He looked over at Marley, still giving him the evil eye, but this time with the slightest smile at what she just witnessed.
"Hey! MILEY!" He said with a cocky smirk, "How ya been, kiddo? Liking campus life so far? how's your little softball team looking this year?"

Marley began to pour herself a beer. She watched out of the corner of her eye as Evan flirted with several girls. He thought he was king shit or something. Marley had a flashback of a past memory...

In her mind she saw Evan and her boyfriend at the time, Kirk. She also saw two big breasted blonde bimbos from the cheerleading squad. All four of them where in a hot tub at Kirks house. The girls were naked. The Guys had nothing but swim trunks on.

Shaking her head to dispel the thoughts, Marley looked up just in time to see an obliterated redhead spill beer all down Evan. Marley couldn't stop the small smile that played across her lips at the sight of him standing there, soaking wet, eyes wide with shock.

Then, he looked up and his eyes met hers.

"Hey! MILEY! How ya been, kiddo? Liking campus life so far? how's your little softball team looking this year?"

Marley narrowed her eyes at the obvious mockery in his voice.

"It's a whole hell of a lot more talented than your ass will ever be, mcCarty". She replied.

She heard several girls gasp and begin whispering in awe at the way she was talking to the campus sweetheart.

"How's life for the hometown manwhore? I'm sure you're loving life here. All the slutty bimbos a guy could ever want huh? It's a good thing. Picking up hoes and footballs were just about your only talents as it was, am I correct?"

With that said, Marley turned and walked about ten feet away to where Zoe stood, mouth hanging open in shock.

"WHAT?!" Marley asked testily as she saw the look on Zoe's face.

No one, NO ONE talked to Evan like that, especially in front of other people...
He took a few steps toward her, and in a calm, firm voice said "Yeah, Marley, I am loving life here, I'm going to be a star. You know who ISN'T loving campus life? My friend Kirk. He wanted to come here and play ball too but couldn't, no decent college would have him." he was yelling now "some crazy-ass psycho BITCH and her parents filed a restraining order against him, ruined the poor bastard's life. Who was that crazy bitch again? Oh yeah, YOU!!!!!"
Party goers had formed a circle around them when they heard yelling, some were standing there just shocked, some were laughing amongst themselves.
He looked to a couple of guys who were chuckling, and said "oh, this is kinds akward" again with a smirk....
He made eye contact with Ty, who looked concerned and a bit scared. Then he saw what Ty was scared of, the little bitch was advancing toward Evan, and in years on the football field he had never seen rage, fury, or anger in anyone's eyes like he saw in hers at that moment.

Marley's eyes widened in surprised at what he blurted out. She rounded on Him and advanced, hands clenched into fists, nearly ready to attack the boy.

"You want to bring that up?!" She said, so calm sounding it was almost scary. She didn't shout. Her voice didn't raise at all. "Then why don't you tell everyone here about WHY your friend Kirk got that restraining order on him..." Her voice raised a few notches.

"Oh? You dont know why? Yeah I bet you don't. You don't know that he came to my house that night I found you two and your bimbos in the hot tub, do ya? Do you know that when he got to my house, he broke in and pinned me to a wall with his hand at my throat!?" She was getting even louder.

"Yeah. Your boy tried to choke me out. He threatened to hurt me if I dumped him and ruined his golden boy reputation. You're FRIEND liked to beat up on girls. He's lucky a restraining order was all he got because-"

Her voice bordered on hysterical but she was cut off by three upperclassmen.

"We hate to break up this soap opera but all y'all underagers need to scram!" One shouted. "We got cops headed this way and can't get busted for underage drinkers!"

People split as they all started to run off in different directions. Marley took a moment to take a deep shaky breath and run her fingers through her hair before turning to run down the stairs and outside.

She heard cops shouting all around but continued to run, knowing an alcohol citation would violate the terms of her scholarship. Heart pounding, she darted through two lawns and spotted a shed. Ducking in as quickly as she could she breathed a sigh of relief, unaware of the person who was already in there.

Evan ran like never before in his life. He'd had some open field runs on the football field, but THIS was motivation. He was thinking about what the coach would do to him if he was in trouble with the cops after just a few weeks on campus. Hell, that was nothing compared to what his Mom and Dad would do.

He ran through a few yards and jumped some fences. Moving away from the student complexes, into the neighborhood. He found a shed that was unlocked, sat down amongst the tools and lawn furniture that had been put away after the summer.
About 3 minutes later the door opened, and someone joined him. He could hear heavy breathing as the person shut the door behind them.
"You from the party?" he whispered.
"yes" was the whispered response.
"just one of you?"
"yes" again a whisper, sounded like a female voice.

"ok, just calm down, stay here until we here the commotion die down. Shouldn't be long"

His companion slumped down to the floor by the door, he could tell her breathing was returning back to a normal pace.

He whispered again "as long as we are gonna be here a few minutes....my name is Evan. yours?"

Marley jumped when she heard a voice whispering beside her in the dark shed. She answered the questions the boy whispered with short monosyllabic answers. And then he told her his name. Market froze for a moment. It couldn't be. But the voice was right. She groaned softly and thunked her head softly against the wall of the shed.

"One hundred people at that party and I end up in a shed with you". She said, her voice louder and full of disdain and anger.

"I might as well go take my chance with the fucking cops... Otherwise they might be hunting me down for murder". She didnt botherto een say her name- she was sure he knew who she was. She shifted slightly in the cramped shed and hit her head against a hanging garden tool.

"Ouch" she murmured, rubbing her head.

They heard a police officer shouting into a megaphone down the street that any students caught out and about would be stopped and given an alcohol test.

"This night is just fucking fabulous." Marley murmured. "First you decide to tell everybody on campus all about the past. Now I'm running from the cops and stuck hiding in a musty shed with you. I should have just stayed home".

Her eyes were adjusting to the darkness now and she could see the outline of him beside her. Sighing softly she closed her eyes and ran her fingers through her hair.

Of all the fucking people at that party, of all the hiding places.....he gets stuck with HER.
"keep your voice down, please, Marley." he whispered, more of a plea than a command.

The silence was deafening...

"Listen, can I say something? I need to get something out in the open."

"you've done a lot of that tonight" she snarled.

"It's about that.....What you said tonight about you and Kirk.....I had no idea...of course his version of the events were much different. But, um, I believe you." He suddenly realized he sounded small and weak, nothing like the cocky guy at the party. He continued "I saw it in your eyes and heard it in your voice, you are telling the truth. Plus, it doesn't surprise me that Kirk would do that."

"i have some amazing women in my life, my mom, sisters, cousins, if any guy did that to them, I'd want to kill him. I know I have my faults, but I have never, EVER raised my hand at a women, I wouldn't dream of it, I couldn't. Even a woman as annoying as you." He meant it as a joke but knew it sounded mean, he regretted it immediately.

She just sighed, he couldn't percieve the emotion behind it.

"I apologize for my actions tonight and for what happened in the past. I know we don't like each other, and probably never will, but I needed to get this out. I'm sorry."

Her breathing changed, he wasn't sure if he was about to get punched or she was going to start crying or yelling or what, she was unpredictable.

Just then he felt the vibration of his phone, it was a text from Ty, who had gotten out of the party just in time as well.

"My friend says the cops have put the entire complex in lock down, I guess some idiot at the party was carrying a gun. We're going to be here a while...."

Marley sat there, listening to Evan's words. It caused her to think back to that night when Kirk had come charging into her home. Her parents had been out to dinner, and she had been alone. She had just confronted him an hour before- when she had caught him in the hot tub with Evan, and the blonde bimbos. He had broken it off with him immediately.

Kirk had followed her home and waited a bit before storming into her house and shoving her against the wall. She was no match for the burly football player and within moments had her pinned, his hand at her throat.

"You won't make a fool out of me, you little bitch" he had snarled in her ear. Luckily her parents had pulled in the driveway then and he had left, leaving her shaking on the floor.

She shook herself out of the daydream to find tears streaking down her face. She dashed them away angrily.

When Evan told her the report from Ty she was silent for a bit, thankful for the darkness around them. She wouldn't want to admit to the tears. Especially not to him.

"You're a bastard, you know that?" She finally said. "You let him cheat on me with those blonde hoes... You knew he had a girlfriend. So did they for that matter. And you still went right along with him to try and get in their pants."

She shook her head.

"Anything to get in some girls pants..." She muttered softly.

"LET him cheat on you?!?!?!?" "LET? Really????"

He was starting to get really pissed off again. He just opened up to her like he had never opened up to anyone before and offered a heart felt apology and THIS was her response?

"yes, I guess I should have been a better person....I should have said HEY KIRK, why don't we tell these girls to put their clothes back on, go home, because you have a girlfriend. Why don't you go see her, bring her some flowers and maybe buy her a puppy or a kitten and go be a good little boyfriend."

"The only thing on my mind that night was me, the blonde I was with, and what she was going to let me do to her, ok? Kirk didn't need to be there, he was the last thing on my mind, I could not have cared less about Kirk and his life and his girlfriend. Yeah, I am that self centered"

"I guess I should just apologize for letting him cheat on you too, I'm apologizing for everything tonight and I doesn't make any fucking difference apparently."

"to think for a few minutes there I actually felt sorry for you."

He could actually feel himself shaking in anger.....or maybe it was getting chilly...

Marley sighed again. He was enraged at her. A nervous laugh bubbles out f her throat.

"You wanna hit me don't you?" She laughed softly again. "Sorry. It's not funny. Just ironic. My own boyfriend back then was willing to choke me out because HE cheated on me... And here you are, you dont even LIKE me, and you're so pissed you could probably deck me right now.. And yet you don't lay a finger on me".

The nervous laugh turned into a tiny hoccip as more tears flooded her eyes.

"FUCK" she whispered vehemently. "What is wrong with me? I never cry."

"Ok look... I don't like you and you don't like me. We know that.. but we are stuck together for the time being unless we wanna get arrested. So I'll say I'm sorry. It's not your fault Kirk was a bastard. I shouldn't have blamed you. So let's call a truce for now and when we get outta here we can go back to hating each other, deal?"

She stuck her hand out in the dark, wondering if he would even see it.

When they finally shook hands she smirked to herself.

"For the record though... You're still a manwhore" she chuckled softly in the dark shed.

He shook her hand, and he realized that he did NOT want to hit her, in fact he wanted to give her a hug and tell her no guy should ever make her feel that way, but he'd never do that.

"deal, truce it is. Yes, I know i'm a manwhore. I could bullshit you and say it is becasue I don't feel validated as a man and I'm looking for approval and competeing with myself, maybe some psycho babble crap. But the truth is, I love girls, I love flirting, and I love hooking up. Not going to lie. I'm taking a psychology course next semester, maybe I'll be able to diagnose my addiction after that."

He thought he heard a little chuckle.

"hey Miley, I guess I was wrong about softball players and their athletic ability, I didn't realize they could get all winded and out of breath after running for two blocks and jumping over a fence. Nice job. Maybe in the off season I can train with you, build up that cardio stamina." He hoped she could see the smile on his face.

Marley struck out with her hand, hitting him with a slap on his chest. She smiled, satisfied when she heard a soft oomph.

"Fuck you, Evan" she murmured. "I could outrun you any day. You're a quarterback. You don't run. All you say is stand in the pocket and maybe run a few yards before you fall to the ground so you don't get tackled".

She smirked. "I'm a catcher. I stand IN the way of incoming runners. You dart away from them". If she had to be honest she would admins he enjoyed his teasing about softball. She would never admit that though.

"You talk shit on softball all the time.. But as I recall ... You used to come to games quite often. Why? Were you just fucking half the team and had to show them your support?"

Her phone buzzed in her pocket. She took it out as light flooded the shed. She could see him sitting across from her, looking intently at her. She glanced down at the text and read it aloud:

Zoe: Campus is on lockdown. You ok? They think the guy with the gun is around Second and Market Streets. They say hes drunk and threatening people.

She glanced up worriedly.

"What street are we on?"

"well, the party was at Market and 2nd.....we ran probably 3 blocks so I'd say probably Market and 4th, maybe 5th st. Why?"

She read the text to him, and he could hear the concern in her voice.

"ok Marley, it sounds like all the action is between where we are now and the campus. If we try to go straight home we'll be walking right into it. If you aren't comfortable here we can head in the other direction. I think we are ok here, but whatever you want to do I'm in. I'm not leaving you, we are in this together."

She seemed to be mulling it over.

"you know I'm totally kidding about the softball stuff, right? I wasn't fucking HALF your teammates, only 2 or 3 of them.

You are a great athlete, Marley. You can probably out run me. We'll have to go running together sometime.

Can I tell you something? When you were going off on me at the party, and coming towards me and I thought you were going to punch or slap me, all I could think about was "wow, she has been working out.....look at those legs, I was thinking that I was about to get slapped by a girl who has some GREAT abs!"

I'm NOT hitting on you, believe me"

"Evan, shut the fuck up"

they sat in silence for a minute or two....

"so, what do you think we should do?"

Marley was nervous sitting there, not able to see what was goin on outside. Evan was talking away about the party and... How in shape she was?! She glanced at him sharply and he backtracked, saying he wasn't hitting on her, before continuing to talk.

"Evan, shut the fuck up."

She was shocked when he did and it made her want to laugh but she didn't.

"I don't like being here where we can't see what's going down..." She finally said. "When I was running here I noticed a tree house two yards down. I was gonna go there but saw this shed first... But the tree house has windows. At least we would be able to hear and see what was happening... And it's not that far. We could get there quickly..."

She was trying to convince herself more than him. She fidgeted nervously. "I can't stay in here Evan" she finally said firmly.

She quietly stood and pulled her heels off, letting them drop to the floor of the shed. "If you wanna stay her I understand" she said quietly as she reached for the shed door and opened it just a crack to peek outside.

He knew that he was going to follow her to the tree house. Not because he felt any responsibility for her safety or attachment to her, but he just didn't want to be alone.
"ok, I'm following you boss."
She took of her shoes open opened the door a crack, all looked calm, but they could hear the buzz of a Police helicopter a few blocks away.
She took a deep breath, looked him square in the eye, and then she was off without a word. He followed right behind her. When they got to the next yard he could see the tree house, he wondered how she was gonna get up there in bare feet and that short skirt.

Together, Marley and Evan made their way across the two yards to the tree house she had spotted earlier. They reached the wooden ladder that led up to the house and Marley paused

She glanced back at Evan.

"Eyes down on the ground, manwhore" she said firmly before lifting one leg and beginning to climb the rickety ladder. She knew if he was looking he was getting a spectacular view of her legs, and everything else under her skirt, including the tiny pink thong that covered no ass and barely any of her pussy.

When she finally reached the top she slid into the kids tree house. There was a discarded doll in one corner and a pile of books in the other. Nothing else occupied the space. She slid into a corner by a window an waited for Evan to join her.

In the distance she could see flashing lights from a police car and the spotlight from a police helicopter. She wondered what was going on... Her nerves flattered as she heard Evan's footsteps coming up the ladder outside.

Despite her warning about keeping his eyes on the ground, OF COURSE he snuck a peek. It was dark out, and the light wasn't ideal, but what he saw was very, very nice. It was just a split second though, she had told him not to, and he still did not want to piss her off again.

He climbed in the tree house and Marley was on her knees, peeking out the lower edge of the window. The light from the streetlight shone down on her, and he thought that she really was a pretty girl. Although a pretty girl who had a very low opinion of him and had recently told him to shut the fuck up.

He sat down in the opposite corner of the structure, sulking a bit because she had taken control. She was smart though, and ballsy, and she could run, so why should he do all the work.

"so what do you see out there?"

Evan looked pissed and Marley briefly wondered why. She glanced back out the window when he asked what she saw.

"There's cops like a block down and the helicopter is coming this way..." She glanced worriedly back at Evan and then looked back outside. They could hear the helicopter clearly now as it came closer and closer. The spotlight glanced upon the tree house and Marley ducked down. "It's... It's right there..." She said nervously. "Evan, does that mean... He's... Down there!?"

Her bright green eyes were wide with fear and her heart was racing.

Just then they heard a man shout.

"Come any fucking closer and ill blow yer heads off!"

Someone in the distance shouted but the words were lost in the noise as the helicopter flew directly over them.

Marley, forgetting who she was with, scooted quickly over, across the tree house next to Evan, til their shoulders touched.

"Shit... We shoulda stayed there... I'm sorry. Oh god..." She was starting to freak out as they heard police talking to the gunman who was apparently directly beneath them.

He put his arm around her and held her tight, no alterior motive, just two human beings who were scared. He leaned close and whispered directly into her ear. "Marley, we are ok up here. No one knows we are here, and as long as we are quiet and don't make any sudden movements we will be fine."
He told her he was going to slowly crawl over to the window and see what was going on, if she wanted to come with fine, or she could stay where she was.
"the only thing I'm worried about if if the guy with the gun sees the tree house and decides to come up here to get away from the cops. If I see him on the ladder, I will jump down on him and take him by surprise." He started to crawl across the floor and she was right next to him, he looked over and gave her a reassuring smile, trying to reassure himself as much as her. The smile back at him was not nearly as confident.

Marley gave Evan a reassuring smile and followed behind him. She didn't want to be left in the dark... Literally and figuratively. The helicopter spotlight was shining onto a man about ten feet out into the yard. He held a pistol in his hand, aimed at a line of police officers who were standing back, but close enough to take action if need be.

The two of them sat there, side by side, watching the drama play out below. Just then, the man below spotted the tree house and their worst fear happened. He ran towards it and began to climb the ladder. Marley scrambled away from the window and bit her lip to keep from screaming. She knew surprise was their only ally.

Evan moved forward and Marley started to grab him but restrained herself. She stayed right behind him as he moved forward. He was coiled to jump when suddenly several things happened at once.

An officer down below shouted. "There's kids up there!!!!"

The man with the gun looked up and spotted them, swinging the gun in their direction, pointing it directly at Evans head.

Evan completely froze.

And Marley jumped. Not for the man below but for Evan. Her body plowed into his just as the deafening blast of a gun went off.
