Today I read of the death of Toronto keyboardist Kevan Staples. I don't know if his band, Rough Trade ever had a hit in the States, but this song was huge up here. Carol Pope on vocals, "Highschool Confidential".

Edited to add: Nineteen Eighty fucking One? Are you kidding me? It seems to me like it was just last summer I was driving my old Duster down Yonge Street at 3am blasting this out the open windows. RIP Kevan.
