Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

Okay, fine. Jerry wrote this song, and that's him playing the cool lead guitar. Jerry was an extremely good guitar player. Absolutely amazing. Some of the songs he recorded with Chet Atkins are just mind blowing. Maybe I'll have to post a couple.

Jerry Reed - Guitar Man

Jerry Reed And Chet Atkins performing Jerry's Breakdown

I'm pretty sure Chet Atkins produced the studio version and also played on it. But seeing them together perform part of it is just so cool.

This is just a quick little bit he did on a country show, but there's full Jerry personality (which I love) and his tasty guitar playing. I've never found him playing this song with same arrangement anywhere else. Which I would love to because it's really cool.

Jerry Reed - Wabash Cannonball

And c'mon... how can you not love it when he says to the fiddle player "don't out loud me now" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I found it - this is from The Porter Wagoner Show and the episode aired Jan 24, 1970. Dolly Parton was a regular on that show.

So many of those country guys like Reed, Jim Stafford, Roy Clark, Glen Campbell are phenomenal guitar players.

Listening to my music and trying to get my damn head up off the table. Man I feel like shit! Heard this song and felt you all might like it! I"m a big instrumental fan as you most likely could tell.

TALL COOL ONE ~ The Wailers (1959)

Boat Drinks - Jimmy Buffett

A great change-up for a favorite Jimmy tune. Gone bluegrass - love the instrumentals and the vocals - especially the back up.

I think this might be the original. IT's Les Paul & Mary Ford so Brenda will like it. Guitar without distortion
