Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

Manfred Manns Earth Band - Mighty Quinn

Sorry for the weird collection of tunes tonight... I'm trying to sooth a hurting heart. 🤷‍♀️

Loggins And Messina - ANGRY EYES live

If you really enjoy good musicianship... I highly recommend really paying attention to this... it is sooo good!!

I had this song on a CD from another lifetime... and later on, my sister had a beautiful baby girl and named her Meghan. I have had this song going through my head for years whenever I think of my niece. Unfortunately, although she is a grown woman now, I haven't ever gotten to know her which is something that really bothers me. But... alas, my family doesn't want me, and they aren't healthy for me so that's just how it's going to be.

But... for my niece who I love from afar....

Monti Amundson - Shake a Leg Meg

I know... he isn't a household name... but I saw this guy open for Johnny Winter!!!! Good god! He was cray good and while I don't know... I'd be he still is.

Monti Amundson - I'm wrong

If you haven't seen this movie... and you love music... this movie is like the splash or reality you can expect. And yet... go for it sister! (or brother)... it's worth it!!!!

The Commitments - Treat Her Right

the original... which is smokin'!

I have a live album of Elvis' that my grandmother bought me along with Moody Blue right after Elvis passed away. I think this song is on it, but I can't say for sure.

Elvis Presley - Promised Land

Van Halen - [Oh] Pretty Woman

This is totally Roy's song... but... I was in the class of '84... Van Halen will never be ignored by me... (well, except for one album)....

Roy Orbison... who wrote it...

sorry... I absolutely love this song!!! No idea how many blue dresses it inspired me to buy...

Mitch Ryder - Devil with the Blue Dress On / Good Golly Miss Molly (Medley)

Years ago, I had a chance to play with a vocalist who could totally pull this song off. I learned the song just to play it with him. I'm sure he would never remember me, but ... I enjoyed our brief musical connection.

Led Zeppelin - Hey, Hey, What Can I Do

This song is so beautiful to me. I was a kid when it came out and thought it was a beautiful song even then.

Here's the funny part though.. Apparently my defining characteristic as musician is slightly over ridden with my being an old car freak... because to me? James will always be... the driver. And even though I absolutely adored the Beach Boys... Dennis? He's the mechanic.

James Taylor - Fire and Rain

I know what you were thinking... why aren't the Canadians making me feel better? They do, always. @TANSTAAFL58 makes sure of it. And Rik Emmett is one of my hero's ... f-ing amazing!

Triumph - Fight The Good Fight
