I know everyone brings up threesomes, but I can't get them off my mind! I am seriously considering talking my lover into one, him, and i, and another lady friend. I don't want to use a friend per say, but I am so horny over it, I can't stop using these thoughts all day long!

Your best bet for all parties involved is to find a "new" friend, somebody chosen off of the internet. This way you dont jeopardize a current friendship. There are several adult dating sites where you may find someone with whom the both of you may be compatible. Try meeting in a neutral place first, for drinks, etc, so that if things dont work out you are not feeling awkward about asking the new friend to leave. If things go well you can set up a second date to meet at your place, where now you two (or all three) are comfortable with the situation and can progress to more intimate places. You MUST set up boundaries with your BF, so that you both know how far each of you can go, so that no jealousy developes. (for example, you may not feel comfortable for him to fuck her on the first date) If the both of you enjoy it it can make your relationship soar, as long as you are comfortable that your relationship is strong (you are not afraid that he might run off with the new "friend" -or you, too!)
