He knew he had struck back on the verbal banter between them, and honestly, Aiden was thankful for those moments of quietness. He didn't want to fight with her... heck, he hadn't wanted any discourse between them but really, it wasn't something he could take back. As she said that though he nodded.
" I know, and I considered it... but again, the online side of things combined with the distance... I thought truthfully that it would be better to wait until we were together."
Her own question made him think, though he finished his salad and as the steak was put down he thanked the waiter politely, though when they were gone he looked to her.
" You were interesting... and I liked your writing style. When we first chatted it was about the stories and our own interests... You didn't speak like an eighteen year old person, and I have never treated you as a child Jessica."
He smiled slightly as she said that she had fallen for the person, though he nodded to her.
" I am still Aiden. I knew your secret wish, I know many other things about you, just as you know about me. My age does not change who I am... if anything, I think that if you were to give it a chance, you'd see that."
He left it at that for now... he didn't want the steak to get cold, though as they both dug in he did cut off a bit of the steak and reaching over he placed it onto her plate, he leaving it for her to enjoy as well. He knew that she had wanted the steak, so he would share with her. She may not have even have given him a chance... but she could now. She of course could also leave tomorrow and never speak to him again, but he was banking on the fact that he might be able to persuade her to stay. Every day was a new challenge... but for her, he would go to the ends of the earth.
