There is a separate game like Powerball in Texas that isn't... it's only inTexas. That and they have scratch offs in that state that are only Texan. Those are probably the games that they drive to play with. And I agree it is about time that any ass jack that wants a tattoo get one here legally.

My ex husband would be one of those ass jacks. He has a total of five now with more to come... I'd like to get one, one of these days... but mine will be hideable, ya know!

that's cool...

Tattoo's are great for some people. Heck even I have seen some and wished I were that cool to have had it myself, but I have committment problems for starters and I grow tired of lame tattoos. You're more on my level with wanting one that is in an undisclosed location, because too many are visible and sometimes in poor taste.
This brings up a gripe of mine. My work place makes exceptions for tattoos, but if i wanted a visable piercing other than ear lobes I'd have to take it out while at work or be sanctioned for it. Most sanctionable offenses from what I understand can build up to administrative hearings in which they can let you go. It just is a peeve of mine.
Anyhow good luck when you get yours MissyGail.

I didn't mean to kill the thread....

How is everyone! Anyone working on big plans for Memorial day? I hafta do family stuff but thought that maybe I could live vicariously through your plans. Hope everyone has a great time... but in the meantime talk, darn-it.

Ahh it ain't dead yet. Hum memorial day? No plans for me.

The kids get out of school this week! It's daddy's weekend with the kids, but he has to travel for work and won't pick them up until Saturday morning. He has to work monday, so he will be dropping them back home.

I have broken up with the DJ guy in the act of ignorance. Though there wasn't really anything to break up from... since he had all these other 'loves' and also I was introduced as a friend.

So I can't return to Pickles now. Anyone know of a better place to hang out?

For the moment I'm bored.

My little pitty party

How is it that you can feel great one moment and then with one surprise phone call your world feels like it's rocked on end. You feel dizzy, your stomach hurts, and you just want to cry your eyes out.

My act of ignorance will not be ignored. Seems I've been called on to deal with what I didn't want to deal with. I want to run away at this point, run away from relationships and men. Men that make me feel crappy.

I hate feeling crappy!

It's just part of being bi-polar. The manic episodes have become too short and too far between the depressive ones. However, if it weren't for medication, the lows would be too low and unbearable.

that reminds me of when I got my ear pierced... at the time, that wasn't a real common thing for guys. mostly it was just rock stars and other assorted freaks. ;)

I was getting ready to play bass in a theatrical production about the doors.... even tho earrings weren't a big thing for guys back in the late 60's, on the way home from rehearsal one night I decided to get my ear pierced. nothing weird or ostentatious, just a simple stud.

I was working 3rd shift in a grocery store... hardly no customers, hardly no bosses to see me. after about a week, one of the assistant managers finally noticed it.... and told me to take it out. I can't remember if he actually tried to give me a logical reason or not.... maybe the guy was homophobic and thought it meant I was gay (even tho it was in my left ear, the "straight" ear), I dunno. all I know is I actually had to end up having a meeting with the owners of the store over this little post in my ear.

I told them I couldn't take the thing out for 6 weeks or the hole would close, which is what I'd been told when I got the piercing.... if they wanted to give me back the money I'd paid, then whatever, I'd let it go. I figured they'd go that route.... it wasn't a whole big bunch of money and I didn't even really care that much about having the thing.... I was just pissed because this little power-tripping pissant dickead manager told me I had to take it out.

eventually it was decided that I could keep the post in for 6 weeks, but after that I'd have to take it out when I got to work. sheesh....

looking at some of the people I see working in customer service oriented jobs now, it's hard to believe so much stink was raised over one little post in my ear.

oh.... sorry to hear about y'all's man troubles, too. us guys suck. sorry.

Well, I guess I'll go ahead and try to catch up since the last I posted.

I ended up going to Texas over Memorial Day weekend for a wedding, which was a lot more fun than I expected it to be.

Sounds like you all got your wish since it's legal to get a tattoo in Oklahoma now.

I don't think I'm 99% trouble, but I'm probably right about 50%, if you round.

umm...

until you win me the jackpot form the lottery, find me a super sexy wonderful young entrprenuer/sugar daddy, or at least a job that pays more than $12/hr with full benefits, I have to be stuck in Ardbore. So see what you can do.

cingular wireless is hiring sales people.... and i cannot disclose the salary but it would meet your requirements
