If anyone cares to know, I use an Intuition razor and you should put a little baby oil on freshly shaved skin for a few days after. This keeps the itch away and keeps the skin moist so that you don't get ingrown hairs when they regrow.

Venus razor works well, too (and without the soapy aftertaste of Intuition). For similar reasons, I prefer natural coconut (or any other non-mineral/non-perfumed) oil over baby oil.

It's not a myth. I think a lot of grown women at some point or another have looked at the razor, looked at their mons and gone, what the hell.

However for those who are tenderskinned, it can be too much to be bare. I'm fair and not a very furry person by any standard, when everything is shaved I find I abraid way too easily. And the horror of regrowth I will not even mention.

Personally I prefer curls to tug and play with. There are lots of kinds of pussies and I like them all, but on personal preferance, I'll take natural over smooth please. It's just as tasty to me, and I like the asthetics of it, be it wispy curls, wild jungle, or neatly trimmed thatch.

I thought it was ingrown hairs that did it? I exfoliate before I shave and that seems to help. Like Liz, I use Aveeno shaving gel (thanks Logo for the tip) and that seems to help alot with razor burn.
I've been shaving for only about a month, and I love it. I started doing it for a guy, but I keep shaving now for myself. Feels so much better when I'm nice and smooth.
