Hmmmm... I noticed all the face pics going up on the one thread,and I enjoyed seeing them. It IS nice to put a face with a name. But it isn't critical. And I'll forget the faces soon, anyway. Some of those posted recently I know I've seen before, and still I said "Oh, yeah, now I remember" when I downloaded the pic. Faces just don't stick with me the way words do.

And I'm with you, Siren. I can't risk posting my face here for professional reasons. I don't think I've noticed anyone saying anything bad about us not posting though...

As for the people who think they are better for having posted their face, well, is that not a form of being shallow? Being braver doesn't really equal being better, in my mind. The two are far apart.

I wouldn't sweat it about the people who think they are better, their not worth your time.

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about. Nope, I didn't take it as judgmental. More like an accurately titled thread for a change! Actually, looking at the pictures in that thread has made me more comfortable being here. We have a lot of normal, everyday people posting at Lit! Not everyone is skinny and gorgeous. Or young and a stud. Many are just average. Probably most. Just like me!

I wouldn't say you are a hypocrite Pablo, nor would I say it's a clique or Springeresque. It mad be a FAD to some, but not either of the above. Of course, that's just MY opinion. Some like them some don't. It's the beauty of being individuals. Some might think that is YOU in your av, you know.

Sheesh! What ever happened to personal expression and that their are "NO" guidelines when it comes to the free internet world? Just because one chooses to post their pic, while another cannot, for some reason or another, does not indicate being pompous or subjective. You do as you please and what you can under circumstances. I am sorry if it bothers some, but I can only post what is me and nothing else. I stand by who and what I am—I don't care for acceptance or a liberation, just the ability to have freedom and the foundation of what this country stands for. Oh rats! it is not seeing someone's picture that is bothersome
it is the associated attitude that they are somehow more legit or braver or whatever, by the poster and others that also post the pictures........
